Having a partner that always wants to leave things that arenít about them is the worst. My buddyís wife is like that. He left our rehearsal and wedding after a couple of hours because she was tired and didnít feel well. Always gets sick when itís his friend. Plus, they had a hotel across the damn street. What, she needs to be watched? Part blame is on him for not having a backbone. Donít get me wrong, I get being there for your spouse, but come on

One of my best friends up here is an absolute blast to party with but her boyfriend doesnít like to go out and so theyíll come to parties for 2 hours max, if at all, before leaving. And maybe sheís into that now but I donít care for it. Her boyfriend is fine, I mean, I get it, but it doesnít mean she has to leave. I guess I just miss my friend.

I'd personally be shocked if a group of politicians did the right thing, so I'm gonna say nothing happens to Franken, or Moore, or anyone else.

I was downtown yesterday, seeing an opera with a blue skinned alien (not the point). I'm walking with a friend, we see a big banner of Phylicia Rashad's role in Head of Passes, he points to it and says "Hey, there's a Bill Cosby defender."

I forgot he had any. I wonder how awkward she feels now, or if she's one of those "no one landed on the moon" wackadoodles.

That's really cool. I'm always in awe at the efficiencies you find and wish I come up with something half as cool for my job.
I got extremely lucky. If I didn't take the first job, and then meet the guy that got me the second job, it would all have played out completely differently. If I had come in a year or two later, they probably would have already thrown $100-200k at someone to try to fix these problems, and I never would have gotten the at bat. It blows my mind. I guess quite a lot of things in life seem crazy to have worked out in retrospect.

Almost certain I got two new jobs with tutoring companies. Both people I spoke with essentially said that they want to hire me...so just really have to make it official. Now to decide when to put in my notice.

I used to wear a Swatch as a kid. Then I moved on to a pocket watch. I remember at the beginning of college, my cousin's girlfriend was annoyed that he would use his cell phone to check the time. At some point it felt like extra hassle to wear a watch. Can't remember the last time I even noticed someone wearing a watch...maybe years?

Where were all these people during his rise to top powerful positions over the last 30 years? they just sat back and watched...and decided independently that now is the time...naw this one is cooked IMO even if there is some truth somewhere - the story and the time lines don't add up.

Because when one person steps up to complain they get rocked with slander, completely vilified, and for such a heinous act the attacker gets off almost scot free. And to be fair, these while we need to have fair trials, a lot of them come down to a he said / she said. And rape is such a physiological violation that often victims will attempt to normalize what just happened to try and move on, but that really weakens their cases. Also, something in Canada post-Jian Ghomeshi that was looked at was inequality of the quality of initial statements; victims will be distraught (and not accompanied a lawyer) while the accused has all of those advantages.

I think I saw something yesterday on the Hill about how political interns have informal creeplist about guys to watch out for -- so I don't think Moore is no way the first, or last, randy politician ... but seems like ethical lines are probably crossed all of the time. While that in itself is not illegal it does create a culture where people could push the boundaries fairly permissively.

Interesting article: prescient or we reading too much into past behaviour

If I lived near Ron, I’d go hang out at his house after work sometimes. You know, sit by the pool, shoot the shit, maybe bring some beers. I don’t have any non-work connected friends here, it can get a little lonely on some topics.
