Back to OP....I don't usually talk poker with others because they simply aren't interested in it. It's a boring subject, like math or something to them. I would wonder, though, if anyone can find a Biblical reference against gambling. I don't think it's there. There are objections to desiring to get rich quick and the like, but I always laugh about that, as anyone that plays poker seriously knows how rich and how quick that is ,-). Poker is an addictive, potentially consuming pursuit. Substitute the word "poker" with any other thing on the earth. This is a people and time issue, it is not a p

$5 rebuy on FCP. Bubble for final table with TT in the BB facing a raise.Thought I played this fine at the time, but now I'm not so sure. $5 rebuy tourny at FCP. 11 players left so final table bubble. Actually QT is funny. In two SnGs in a row, I had AA vs QJ and QT. Bet, raised, allin both times and they just loved their hand. Once he had an oesd and another had top pr. Maybe not the same as this situation, but it makes me warey of QT. I did get rocked by it in a live tourny once. Flopped 2 pair with AJ and the turn K turned my stomach, but I couldn't escape and paid off a QT straight.

I don't like re-raising preflop with just JJ at a full table. Especially to an UTG raiser. You've got position, might as well see what the flop brings. JJ is just a tough hand, I think. Regardless of what I say, I probably push it allin preflop in reality. Too good to fold, too bad to play.

I'd probably lose my chips and start looking for another tournament. I'm calling in this spot and check-calling river. I'm hoping he just has a Q or a couple of diamonds and thinks you're stealing. AJ or KQ would suck, but I'm afraid I'm not sharp enough to get away. -m

You say you limp looking to trap, so I'm surprised you don't push preflop. Since you called, then I assume you're happily calling the flop push.

Is this true? I found PokerRoom to be a laggy and disconnect-happy place which is the primary reason I left it for UB a couple of years ago (PR was my first site). I've come back to it lately for particular timing/buyin reasons, and FCP's issues seem identical. In my case it seems like something is 'filling up'. the site will lag more and more until it's unusable and I run screaming through the house. Restarting usually fixes it, and then refraining from having any other window open seems to keep it at bay (WinXp, DSL broadband on wireless LAN). It's annoying at PR and at FCP. I limit myself t

not that it's any consolation, but Poker Room (of which FCP is a skin) has always had lag and disconnect problems for me too... like for years. Original reason I stopped playing there for some time, actually.
