Cool. Not in Mexico after all.... I was under the impression one could take out a line of credit against the UL fund value to enjoy some of its returns before actually dying. I guess as long as this is secured you could probably do this with just about anything.
-
Hey El Guapo,Out of curiousity do you live in the US or Canada? and does UL differ from either country? Also, how can you access the money tax free?
-
Edmonton - Ryan Smyth Interesting, but I still don't like it. And I wouldn't call it a curse per se, but more of "wings always choke early" fact... less than 3 hours now....
-
lol. As you should be. I heard up here that a headline in a Raleigh newspaper showed a picture of the titanic sinking. Is this true, and if so, where's the faith?Saturday was surprisingly dominant. I find it hard to believe that Carolina is THAT beat up. I expect tonight to be a barn burner and would be surprised if its anything less. Its never easy to win on the road, but there's no doubt the Oilers have the momentum and less pressure.3-1 Edmonton.
-
Well, they did put another one back in the ice before the game started. But this one is obviously not the 'lucky' one. I love Smytty!
-
He is pretty good, I gotta admit. But he is actually 22, and getting married the same day as me (this July). Yep, thats my claim to fame. lol.IMO, he's actually given up a lot of big juicy rebounds, but the Canes have been very good clearing them from the front. Still, such a calm demeanor for someone so young.
-
uhhhhh, I don't think so Eddie. Are you telling me Carolina hasn't found some lucky bounces so far in this series? Plus, there wasn't any luck at all in that play. Stillman made a bonehead play. End of story. The Oilers deserved that game and you can easily say they've outplayed the Canes in at least 2 of the games, if not 3.This one is going 7.
-
I totally agree. I was wondering if I was the only one who's noticed his terrible play these past 2 games. Whats up with him? He's also been taking stupid penalties lately. Thats doesn't help either. We wouldn't have made it this far without his great play thus far, but this is the last guy I expected to fall apart. The oilers CAN win 3 in a row. But its not going to be easy.
-
IMO, I don't think Roloson was playing well at all. Sure he had no help from his D in the 3rd, but we need him to make one of those saves. That first one on Whitney was one he should have had. Also, I thought Ward was shaky too. He was giving up juicy rebounds all game. Unfortunately for us Oilers, he made to 2 highlight reel stops when it really mattered. Good on him. The oilers sat back and choked, not doubt about that. As good as Roli has been playing in the playoffs, the oilers in front of him have lots to do with it. They'll play good in front of Jussi (at least I hope its Jussi)
-
Edmonton in 6.But then again, you probably knew I was going with the Oilers....
-
Maybe thats what they need??The oil have to loosen up. I don't mean play lazy, I mean go back to having fun. You could tell they seemed tight last night.Gotta get more pucks on net though. Yikes.
-
In reference to the turning point of game 3, it was the Laraque fight. He also re iterated that Roloson was due for a bad game and that he would end up getting the hook last night. What a loser. He stopped 22 of 25 shots that period, some of which were excellent saves. 1 of the goals was a complete fluke and 1 came on a 2 man advantage. What else do you want him to do??? Sometimes Cherry seems to have a blindfold on.The Oilers can't win every game, but I sure hope they play a lot better on Sat.
-
Or vice versa! The same could be said if Edmonton plays Carolina. Ohh, would it be sweet revenge on Dougie Weight...
-
Sure sure. Don't try playin that card! Edmonton will be the underdog no matter who they face (provided they get there).
-
I won't get into the whole "Edmonton is better than Buffalo" speech just yet. A lot can happen before we ever reach that point. We can agree though that Buffalo has some pretty darn good hockey fans too. Thats the only reason though, that I'd like to see an Edmonton-Buffalo final. B/C the fans of each city deserve it. Good luck.
