  1. Cool, thx. I figured that's what it was, but wanted to make sure.
  2. Just read the last couple of blogs from Daniel and noticed that when he listed the games he wrote Stud Hi-Lo Regular and Stud 8 or better. I was always under the impression that these games were one in the same. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Nice work!BTW I love $2/$4 NL! I've won $4000 since Monday playing this game on the site I'm always on JetSetPoker. And, I won $3000 in one night last Thursday on there, had $3400 on a $400 max buyin table!!! I love poker sometimes.
  4. I played the 2am tourney at Binion's and that was alot of fun. Good mix of people (interesting to say the least) and a pretty decent structure. The buyin after add ons and stuff ends up being $110. I won it and it paid out just over $1900, although that may have been slightly skewed since it was during the WSOP.My absolute favorite though are the tourneys at the Bellagio. The buyins were beefed up during the WSOP as well, so I ended up playing a $1060 buyin event. You start with 3000 in chips and the rounds are 40 minutes long. This format definitely benefited my playing style. The competition
  5. My buddy and I just got into Vegas yesterday cause he's playing in the main event. We decided to play in the 2am tournament at Binion's in downtown Vegas. I ended up getting 1st place, made $1900. That was my biggest cash in a live tourney. So I've actually won the last three tourneys I've played in, the St. Kitts Carribean trip last Sunday, a $10 MTT on FullTilt on Wednesday(only payed out $305), and the Binion's tournament. Hope that carries over into the $1500 NLHE event I'm playing in on Monday at the WSOP. Wish me luck. 8)
  6. Something that does work occasionally that my buddy almost overuses is this...you flop a monster, someone bets into you, and you call. Then, if they bet into you on the turn again, before you call say, "One time." He won a $800 pot in a $2/$4NL game when he did it yesterday. Of course it helped that they both had trips, but he had the better kicker. Pretty funny story though.

  8. Definitely going scuba diving while we're there, we both love to scuba. I'm sure she'll want some white wine, but I don't really drink wine....I'll stick with the rum punch!
  9. Does seem strange that he's not playing in the 2-7 draw tourney considering he wrote part of super system that's based on a version of this game. I know it's only single draw, but still seems weird. I would've thought he might enjoy an event like this to kind of change it up for a day, kind of like when he played the Razz event and said he had a good time. Oh well, I'm sure he has his reasons.
  10. I just won a poker trip to the Carribean island of St. Kitts on JetsetPoker.com on Sunday, prize package worth $5K. Only cost me $66 though! The fiancee is happy! 8)
  11. I have a good feeling about this one. Hope I'm right.
  12. When someone calls you with a ridiculous long shot when you make a pot-sized bet and get there and say they did it because of implied odds.
  13. Different sites offer different pay plans. I was lucky enough to hook up with JetSetPoker.com and they have a really good pay plan, and also pretty cool software. Most sites will watch you and tell you which games to fill, JetSet lets me play whatever I want, whenever I want. They just like to have some people that are always around to play and keep the games going. The job has really helped my overall poker game, not just shorthanded play either. The site, like most these days, is primarily hold 'em based...although the occasional $1/$2 pot limit omaha hi-lo game starts up. It's been a great
  14. If I hear another reference from Norman Chad about his ex-wife I think I might book a flight to Vegas and sucker punch him.
  15. What about Daniel's laydown in the Tournament of Champions when he hit top two pair, the board was all clubs, and Lederer had flopped the flush with K J . The great thing about that laydown was that Lederer only put in the minimum raise on Daniel's flop bet. He figured that there was no possible way he had the best hand and was probably drawing extremely thin.
