They're played right in the main poker room. The last time I was there I was playing in the daily tournament and was at a table right outside of Bobby's room. Gus and Jenn stood right behind me leaning against the wall outside of Bobby's room talking about a couple of hands from a tournament. I saw Doyle ride up on his scooter too. Pretty cool.

Who played in this last year? What was the level of competition like?

I won a $5 sit-n-go today. Do you think I'll make it?

No. And the 20,000+ players would include all players across all ongame skins.

I just asked for my money for my ticket. I'll just take the $300 at this point.

I just won a ticket to the stage 3 mtt for the poker classic. I very much want to play in the classic. Any strategy suggestions from anyone who has played in the stage 3? Is the competition stiff, or the usual mixed bag?

I played in the Bellagio tournament a couple of days in November. It was a $500 buy-in during the week then. The competition was pretty stiff, but it was very well run and a lot of fun. I plan on playing it on Saturday evening when I'n there in a few weeks.I played in the evening MGM tournament a couple of times as well. The buy-in was $125, and it was actually a decent tournament. The competition was softer. I took second in one of those for $1750. It is not played on Friday and Saturday, but they do have it on Sunday. I would suggest playing tight to start, because there are a lot of people

I used to own some pizza places in Florida.

You clearly haven't read both books.I'm not sure what gave you that impression, but that just simply isn't true. I have read both books and am in the middle of rereading volume 1 now. It is a great deal of information, and I don't think I was asking anything worth flaming. But thanks for the help.

I have read both books as well. I wanted to know if there is a good set of condensed notes from the books available for a quick refresher? Something to use to brush up on my flight to Vegas in a couple of months.

Thanks for the flaming. I learned my lesson. I played in another $10 tournament this morning and got 3rd for $240.

I actually had at least 16 outs at the river. I had K5 of spades, and flop was 9s 2s 5h. 4th street was 6d. My opponent had 25o, so any spade, K, 6, or 9 gave me the hand. So it wasn't actually terrible odds, but still pretty stupid.
