I like betting the turn, I also tend to be very agressive in blind steals though. if he raises the turn just call him down... with that board I think you are going to be spliting this pot a lot so just get to showdown... Depending on his stats I would just check and call the river when the board pairs.

If you are thinking about folding the turn when the CO bets and your intending to call down anyway you should raise the turn for a free showdown. By doing this you might even get both players to fold right there or maybe just get the CO heads up and when he checks to you on the river check behind. If you choose this line though fold to a 3-bet on the turn.Just a thought

I hope everyone will be rooting for scotty to break through and win today. Who cares if he was talking about his hand or not, he is the coolest guy in poker, and can do as he pleases. Root for Scotty, as he said in the 2003 "Bitches love Scotty Nyguen".

I was wondering if anyone has a preflop chart for NL much like the ones that I have for limit. I'm looking for mostly starting hand requirements and for certain hands to be played from the later positions. ThanksP.S. I'm playing in LV in the loosest games ever if that makes a difference.

Like I said I am generally a limit playin and play the 15/30 here in vegas at the bellagio and normally play a few times per week. Limping in with AQo I think is wrong generally I would rather raise preflop and take the initative in the hand. Alot of you are saying that if I am raised on the flop after the pot sized bet then I could push here? When is it right to push on a draw in NL? -

I agree that I was not as agressive as I should have been. My biggest mistake actually saved me money luckly. Button had 10 10 and Boated up on the river. My next question then is if I bet this river and I am raised for the rest of the buttons chips which in this case is about $200+ then is this and easy call or fold? -
I am generally a limit player but I have been playing more no limit live lately. This hand was in the 2/5 NL at Caesars Palace (LV). Hero stack size about $950Button stack about $600Hero is UTG+1 With A Q UTG folds Hero Raises to $20Folded to CO who calls $20Button Calls $20 Both Blinds come along alsoFlop: K 10 6 SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $50, CO folds, Button Raises to $100, SB Folds, BB Calls, Hero Calls.Turn: 4 BB checks, Hero checks, Button ChecksRiver: 4 BB Checks, Hero checks, Button Bets $75, BB folds, Hero Calls.Final Pot $425I think I played this hand horribly. I would jam that pot all day especially with that board.

Ok, I'm still a newbe... I would do the same thing you did preflop and on the flop but I agree I would also bet the turn. Especially in blind battles depending on the player you are against I dont always have a problem going to showdown with A high and generally and Ace is good against any random hand. Im not sure about the river but I would also maybe check and call the river???

marginal hands lead to tough decisions.

Ok, I guess I am still a newbe according to you guys but I 3 bet the flop also and like Kdawg said seriously think about folding the turn if it gets capped. But the problem I see is the turn you improve again. I would play the hand the exact same only difference I 3 bet the flop. -
I am sorry to let all of you know the real story about Jayson. WRTO4556 and I have been roomates with Jayson up into reciently. He is complety irresponsible and unreliable. I got into poker when I started living with him and WRTO. I signed up for rakeback through him thinking that there is now way for me to get screwed by my own roomate. I was completely wrong. To give you all a little background on what else Jayson was responsible for... I was sitting in my own living room one day when Jayson told me he had to go to the airport to pick up a friend who was going to be staying with us "fo
