tell me the truth, in my 2 1/2 years of playing poker, i honestly can say i think ive won 2-3 hands on the river where i was behind and i caught me 2-3 outter to win, MANYY(i would say at least one hundred) times where i would be behing,(not by much) such as a straight/flush draw and i would not catch it, i understand that it will not come out more than half the time but, it seems like when im ahead in a hand, that someone else will BS me and win on the river, im sure everyone has their bad river beats, but it seems like it happens to me the most(out of my friends), someone will constantly hit that 2-3 outter on me while i have the best hand, im not a newbie player, i actualy consider myself good, i can make good reads on people and what they have sometimes, is it just all bad luck or am i actually bad? :? :bubblesigh:
bad luck or am actually bad?

without any kind of stats or hand historys its impossible to say if your a good or bad player. are u up or down money since u started? if you are down money since u started u probably arent a good player yet. how many hands have u played? what limits do u play? limit or no limt?

Always getting beat on the river is kind of a strange complain from some one who has been playing for 2 1/2 years. Mostly new players who really can't handle the variance and are playing out of their bankroll complain about this. No one likes getting beat on the river but for 2 1/2 years I would hope you saw enough hands to not make the 10% of the time you'll get sucked out on being a theme of your poker play.

One of my favorite parts of Rounders is where Matt Damon mentions how everyone remembers their bad beats and not their good ones (can't remember who he pulled that one from). They may stick out in your mind more. Based on what I've read of your posts elsewhere, your experience level is fine, but you really need to study more. Based on this post alone, you haven't given us enough information, except that you always remember the bad beats and not the 80% of the time the straight doesn't hit or the 67% of the time the flush doesn't hit.How regularly have you been playing?
