Ok so I'm in a $20 buy in tourney last night, 4 players left. We're paying 3rd their 20 back, 2nd gets 50, and 1st takes 90. Blinds are at 1-2, and I'm BB. UTG folds, button goes all-in, SB folds. I'm one of the 2 big stacks, and UTG and button are the 2 small stacks. It's only about $4.50 more to me, and I have A7 suited. I can't give exact chip amounts, I hope this is enough: the second small stack (UTG) had about twice as many chips as button here, but he was still in a dire situation, as blinds were coming around fast being only 4-handed by now. The all-in small stack would have to double up about 4 or 5 times to match the bigger stacks. Now I don't really have button on a big hand here, but I know he's pushing with any Ace. He could have KQ to K8 probably and even QJ as he's being blinded to death in a few hands. If I double him up it doesn't affect my stack a whole lot, but I don't wanna give him more ammo because he is the only player I'm worried about left. He's gonna be out soon anyway. Should I call?

I would say, fold. You don't want to double him up, and you can be patient and wait for a more opportune hand to take him out with.

Don't call an allin with A-7 unless the opponent is playing insanely, it's just not that strong
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

for the sake of arguement, he was in a rather tight spot, and an Ace might've been a favorite here. Plus, if I put him out, I have an excellent chance of winning unless I get extremely cold cards. Doubling him up only puts him about even with the other small stack and I can still let them fight it out for 3rd. Just wanna argue to get a little more reasoning than A7 sucks.

A 7 doesn't suck, but in this situation it's not the right time to call an all in, even if it's not for that much.

Its just not a strong hand... If he has Ace with any card higher than a 7 you're in a rough spot, any high or medium pocket pair and you're also a big underdog... Its safest just to fold and wait for a better spot.
