Royal_Tour 0
1/2 NL live max 200Hero has 350Villain 200rest of players all around 200 Hero KK in C/OUTG raise to 10. MP call. LP1 raise to 30. fold to hero, hero smooth call. *pause* Hero thought and memory notes--- Button is very tight, UTG called hero a "pro player" earlier, said he's doing fancy chip tricks and he wants to learn, respects his game a lot. MP is very quiet and TAG, likes to raise if he has something big, and doesnt seem to chase. Villain (LP1) has played a very weak game so far, has rebaught twice, will invest money on TP no kicker, no draw etc..UTG folds, and MP folds.HUflop 2,5,6 rainbow.Villain bet 100.hero shovel.question is. who likes the smooth call preflop, and who would of rather saw a raise. NocturnalRob 0
i like the smooth call, simply because if you hit your flop--which you did--let LP1 push good money after bad. i think this is a player-specific move. This is not something I would normally do. In this case, two thumbs up.
Zach6668 513
I think you're offering UTG and MP way too good of a price here preflop.
Roberts2003 0
I think you're offering UTG and MP way too good of a price here preflop.yeah i agree with that for sure, and i cant believe they both folded. i would have thrown out some weak tell then made it 80 or 90, since thats like almost half his chips anyway. every single thing that could go right did go right on this hand. your smooth call somehow isolated the hand and the flop didnt have ace or 8 9 10 gayness. im not saying it was a bad play, but its def a player dependent play that would seem more effective live where you can make these kinds or reads. online, i would always raise here. Acid_Knight 2
I think you're offering UTG and MP way too good of a price here preflop.Agree with this 100%. The few times that I ever smooth call preflop with big hands is when I am like 100% sure I'm gonna be HU or have position or something. I really dislike your smooth call becuase the reraise ($30 total, only $20 more to first 2 players) is so small and likely to be called. As played, your hand looks a ton like JJ or TT, so you should get paid here.
