Zach6668 513
If he calls and checks to you on the river... and we haven't hit a pair... you?I don't understand why you can do this, and not do it with AA in the other hand. As a matter of fact, you can't. If you don't 3-bet AA in that other hand, you can't 3-bet bluff a flop.
RISEorFall 0
i hate raising on the button with hands that are difficult to play post flopbutton raises with hands like this are exactly what they look like: steal attempts. even bad players see it this way and will play back at you with lots of hands. i tend to not raise hands like this because i get myself into this situation a lot.i'd be much more willing to raise T9o here than Q4s, even if it is wrong EV wise. if i raise preflop (which depends on how im feeling/running that day, plus how the tables been playing, what i know about the blinds, etc.)i probably fold the flop after the c/rbut i suck at blind steal situations. Actuary 3
Im at 40.5% ASB.And its a huge money makerNot sure hands like this though; but he's a tight player.Zach,I don't see the relationship to not 3-betting AAI c/r the turn in that handIt wasn't a passive lineYou don't have to take the same line with all your hands all of the time to disguise the strong ones, do you? So keep it up. I love your PFR. Ask aim786 for more info on that, he was the one who told me about that.****************You don't have to play all of your hands the same, obv, but IMO, if you're gonna wait for the turn to raise your strong hands, why not do it with your bluffs as well? For me, I do most of my aggressing on the flop, so if I decide I don't want to fold to his flop raise, I'm playing it like you did. But it's also because I 3-bet my sets and overpairs on the flops for the most part as well. You never answered my first question though. If he just calls the turn and checks the river, what's your play?

Actuary 3
You never answered my first question though. If he just calls the turn and checks the river, what's your play?give upI wanted a cheaper line than call flop raise, and Rais turn. Also, that move is value when I hope to get much worse hands to think they are aheadHere, I want a fold for as little as possible

I tell you what my standard play would be, and what the reasoning behind it is. If you want to say you're just mixing it up, then that's fine. You certainly know enough about the game to know when you should be mixing up your play, etc, but it's hard to opine on the hands you post if that's the case. For all of the hands you post, you've been basically been playing a hand weird (by my standards, anyways), or playing a hand differently for the purposes of mixing it up, and the strongly disagreeing with what most of us reply with and attempting to validate your play on that particular hand. I don't know. I do generalize too much, this entire paragraph is probably a representation of that, and I'm in a shitty mood because my ****ing GF's mom is home for the weekend, and she just has to ****ing smoke in the house, so my brain is ****ing fried for second hand tobacco smoke, and I'm a guy who's never smoked a cigarette in my life, and never will, and she doesn't ****ing care about any one else's ****ing concerns about their health, and she's home ****ing 3 days every 2-3 months or so, and can't just ****ing understand that we hate smoking, and I have asthma, and hate the smell, and purposely keep a smoke free home, and so on, and won't even give us the courtesy of going outside to have a ****ing cigarette, all the while, I can't say or do anything about it because she's the one paying the mortgage./ rant. Moneyball16 0
give upI think often if your gonna go this far with a bluff you should bet the river too cause I think he folds a K or Q high fd or a pair plus draw hand enough to make it profitable.
Actuary 3
i post the weird ones.I dont post the AK in BB hit K and bet it HU all the way hands much anymore.I like to defens my play to get thought provoking discussionI also, often later come to say "yeah, betting was better" I'm really on this kick lately of trying to figure which betting line gets in the most money from the worse hands

Still tough luck though.

Still tough luck though.Well ya, which is why I can't do anything about it, but aside from paying the mortgage, it's our house. We live here 100% of the time, she lives he 2% of the time. Like, show some respect for other people's health, is all I'm saying. If you want to smoke, fine, I don't care if you die when you turn 40, but it bothers me the total disregard she has for both of us. And it's not just me, the freeloader (and I am a freeloader), but her daughter hates it just as much, but she still doesn't care.Anyways, she's back on the road in less than 4 hours, I can tough it out, lol, then crack every window in the house.
