To C/c Or Bet Call The River

Recommended Posts

Villain is 37.23/17.8/1.25It's been awhile but I believe I felt that this player would've raised the flop if he had top pair. When he raised the turn and just called, I was feeling pretty sure he had a flush draw but I bet the river anyways. Mathematically, logically, whatever, is there any good reason to check/call the river w/such a strong hand?bet/folding is....ehLimit Holdem Ring gameLimit: $10/$206 playersConverterPre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with ac.pngqd.png UTG folds, UTG+1 raises, 3 folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 calls.Flop: 2h.png7d.pngqc.png (6.5SB, 2 players)Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.Turn: qh.png (4.25BB, 2 players)Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 calls.River: 3h.png (10.25BB, 2 players)Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, Hero calls. Results:Final pot: 14.25BB

I play it the same. When the turn pairs the Queen, Villain may think his JJ-88 is good.So his raise could make sense. And I think there is too much value in a bet, and not enough reason to put Villain on a Flush to check the river. And since I don't fold my trips here, bet-call seems standard.Well Played.--CM
