Based on your relative position to the PFR,You lead this flop if you hope to protect your hand. You check-raise this flop if you want to play for value. Why do you expect a passive player to bluff raise your donk bet on the flop?By looking at how the hand played out, it seems clear that you gained more value here from the check-raise.UTG was willing to fold the flop when he saw he was behind. So the 2 best possible scenarios if you lead the flop:- Bet, raise, fold - 3bet, fold = 2 bets of value.- Bet, call, call = 2 bets of value. As played, because you trapped Button in the middle, you gained 3 bets of value.--CM

You make more by c/r'ing vs this opponent. Look at his AF. He's not raising the flop unless we're beat, or possibly tied.Question. If we c/r this flop, and he 3-bets, standard play is to call down, right?

you don't think utg might call down w/AK if I just lead like that? A cr into 2 ppl is a strong line. I make more money if he calls down
Leading the flop into 2 ppl is a strong line too.If Villain is loose enough to call you down the whole way, he would not have folded to your flop raise. When Villain does fold to your flop raise, I really don't think he has AK.--cm

I call down. But I expect to see the overpair when passive Villain 3bets this draw-lite board.--cm
