.5/1 was full

MP1 is very loose caller.
And passive without at least two pair.

SB only 14 hands

PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver Cards)

Preflop: Actuary is BB with , .
2 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 2 folds, SB completes, Actuary checks.

Flop: (4 SB) , , (4 players)
SB bets, Actuary raises...

Is callling better?
Does the read on MP1 matter?

no read on MP2

I assume SB would be leading here with any draw (FD or straight draw), and any 6 or 7. That would be pretty standard, imo.

I love your raise because we have the best chance to get it HU vs a possible draw.

The read on MP1 is important too because if you get called, it doesn't mean you're beat, he could have any number of hands, from small pair, to draw, to top pair, etc.

I like the raise, if it gets called in both spots behind us, I'd get a bit weary, but for now I'm assuming we're ahead. If SB 3-bets, I at least see the turn, at which point you'd have to make a decision whether or not he'd do this with a draw. If it's still 4 handed, he'd be 3-betting a flush draw for value, so you can't rule that out. Tough to comment on the turn and river though, without seeing the action behind us.

So far, so good, imo.

Zach is right about pretty much everything.
