If the Penguins win the Stanley Cup, I will stop watching hockey for a full year.
This is a 100% true story.

Sergei Fedorov2 - Igor Larionov - Vyacheslav Kozlov3
Henrik Zetterberg - Pavel Datsyuk - Tomas Holmstrom (I'm happy with this line as is)
Kirk Maltby 4 - Kris Draper 4 - Darren McCarty4
Vladmir Konstantinov - Nicklas Lidstrom
Paul Coffey - Chris Chelios 5
Mathieu Schneider - Vyacheslav Fetisov
Mike Vernon
Dominik Hasek
1 The Stevey Y before he had cyborg legs, despite the fact his heart was still huge even in the end.
2 The 93-94 Sergei Fedorov, not the tit with Columbus.
3 The Kozlov who is tearing it up now more than ever on Atlanta.
4 The grind line that actually scored on occasion, and was still tough.
5 As ageless as Chelios is, his slapshot has probably lost 30mph, so the Chi-town Cheli!
Edit: Whoops I'm dumb and I used retired players....sigh. Oh well, I still like my team.

- Dan Clouter
D - Mattias Ohlund + Brian McCabe

Notable D that didn't make the cut: Aucoin, Malik, Hedican, Allen. Notable forwards that didn't make the cut: Geoff Sanderson, Jarko Ruutu, Martin Rucinsky. The Canucks are good at producing defenceman, they really need to work on forwards.

Pyatt is a bit of a shocker -- but I guess the alternatives aren't all that hot either.

Only 50 games spread over two seasons though.
* April 7, 1995- Traded by the Pittsburgh Penguins to the Ottawa Senators in exchange for Troy Murray and Norm Maciver.
* January 23, 1996- Traded by the Ottawa Senators, along with Don Beaupre and Bryan Berard, to the New York Islanders in exchange for Damian Rhodes and Wade Redden.
He played fairly well while he was here from what I remember though didn't light it up as the sens were still pretty asstastic back then. Modry so played a season back then in 96 which was a bit of a surprise to me.

True the guy was an A grade *******.. and if we consider just this season Prospal > Vermette as well.
Don Cherry mode: interesting that the Sens are doing much better this season now that they've pitched most of the Euros and have loaded up on Canucks.
