Didn't notice you had the straight draw too. So any ace would have sucked for me as it turns out!NH (except for calling preflop, lol...but who am I to complain as I loves me the low sooooted connectors too).

Yeah I don't like the preflop call. Low suiteds, possibly on the button, but usually never.In spite of that, I think the rest of the hand was played fine, especially if looking for a villain fold on turn.

I thought we were both fairly deep stacked and I could easily dump them if repopped thus I thought it was a relatively good opportunity to give up on the flop.I was obviously looking for a villain fold on the turn since I figured he can't have been that strong.Dream river obviously, I'm not sure if I a large river overbet might have worked something like 2000+ instead of 1000?

Hard to say. I guess I will tell what I had at this point: AJ. I was actually intending to check-raise the flop, but you checked behind. After that, I guess I had an opportunity to get away when you raised the turn, but the pot odds were too good, and the likelihood that I had or could draw to the best hand was too high to fold (I thought--anyone disagree?). Then the river of course gave me aces up, and it was hard to get away from, though I did fear the flush (notice I called instead of raising). The best card for you would have been a non-heart A. I would have been a lot more likely to raise, or to call a bigger bet (2000 might have been hard to call with those three hearts out there).This hand was pivotal given the final standings, I think. At the beginning of the hand, we were very close, kind of co-chip leaders almost. After the hand, he was the dominant stack and I was one of the shorties. This was hand #38. Yet by hand #126, where we were three handed, I was second stack and had almost caught back up to SK (6995 to 5445). I petered out after that (and goheels made an impressive comeback: his stack was only at 685 by hand #130); but I have to wonder how things would have gone had I not lost so much of my stack to SK in this hand.

I like the way SK played the hand, I like all streets.For Slacker, if you think he has hearts then obviously you should reraise the turn, you did slowplay it after all. I just don't really understand your line because it isn't consistent, I think raising the turn would be tough just because he could have a K or something weird like set, but in all likelihood he's not checking behind on the flop with anything that beats AJ, so on the turn the only thing to be real scared of is a set. I like your lead, but I really don't mind a 3 bet here on the turn and try to take it down, if he does call or raise you then you can c/f river or fold on turn to the raise. Once the river comes down to give you a good two pair with that board I just can't get enough money in based on how you played it. The way you played it did get you to showdown and you kept the pot small so you can't fault it too much, the main problem that I see with it is that you don't stay consistent with a hand or range that villain is on.
