Ok, I need the help of OT. My girlfriend and I are moving into a new apartment tomorrow, and we were having a discussion of which layout would be better.

Here is A.

Here is B.

Any other suggestions will be taken, preferably in Paint form.

Key:

D-Desk
T-Table
C-Couch
TV-obv

The other stuff doesn't matter.

*Note* Neither my girlfriend or I are majoring in architecture, so we realize these may be the worst paint drawings on the Internet.

Not this again...

I'll take a picture of the living room (w/couch) tomorrow.

Only problem is the hookup for the TV is right by the desks in your layout. I don't want a long cord strewn across the room.

I like Wandigo's btw.

1) stack all pieces of furniture on top of one another in center of room

2) get dressed in full football gear and uniform, helmet included

3) take 30 steps away from pile of furniture (this may bring you into the other room... that is ok)

4) put head down and charge at pile at full speed

5) leave the furniture however it has fallen - that sir will be your layout

(patent pending)

No windows in the living room, just a big sliding door leading to a balcony at the top part of the room.

I like yours Wandy, but there is definitely not that much room, and I (unlike you) have not made that much from poker to pimp my apt. that much.

Sliding glass door at the top right of the room? That's the box?

I guess it depends on whether the sun sets or rises through the balcony window, and whether you spend more time in the morning or afternoon watching tv.

That looks good though. Set it up, feel it out, and then change as necessary.

I think the kitchen table should be to the "right" side of the kitchen, not above it. Looks like a good size gap there, would give more room to play with in the living area.
