meservery 0
I guess your read was this player is usually re-raising preflop with KKxx and AAxx. In that case, nice bet. Also if somehow he calls and the action checks down the rest of the way, its good to know this player likes an over pair on that kind of board.
navybuttons 16
if you're gonna bluff, i prefer calling and seeing if he checks the turn.scenarios. turn completes draw and he leads weak: now pop in the raise.turn completes draw and he checks: bet.turn doesn't complete draw and he checks: maybe bet, maybe check to sell and wait for the draw to hit on the river, however you can't bluff a brick river.turn bricks and he leads: give up. Room812 0
You have two pieces of information from this hand. a repot and a half pot. Have you ever seen him go to repot pf(in position or out) with hands like 9876 or only AA and KK? Probably not.The Half pot is the bigger clue...is this just a complete air c-bet? Would he tend to check unimproved, or maybe he's picked up the nut flush draw to go with the overpair.I think your best chance is navy's line, especially since its a half pot bet. But I definitely would tend to pot a brick-checked turn. Obviously hand plays easier w/a fold pf, but that's not the point of the post.
