Why Not Offer More (higher) Stakes?

Recommended Posts

Why don't Pokerstars and Full Tilt offer even more (high stakes) tables?I recently read a blog written by Brian Townsend (sbrugby at FTP) saying how much he hates capped NLHE games, talking specifically about the 500/1000 CAP NL game on FTP. He also mentioned that he would be willing to play that high with no cap. I'm sure other players would also be willing to play that high. Also, the 1k/2k HORSE game on FTP consistently draws a number of well-known high stakes pros who often play even higher than that (live). Why wouldn't FTP offer even higher stakes mixed games, no limit games, etc.I just don't see what they have to lose....Clearly, I don't play this high or anywhere even near it. Just wonder why an online site wouldn't distinguish itself even more from the other(s) and offer even higher stakes games. Just throwing it out there, see what you all have to say.

Not sure how many players will play 500/1000 nl without a cap right now, but I think we could see it fairly soon.

Can't see many more than Benyamine, Ivey, Townsend and Durr playing that high online.Oh, I guess the usual short stacker would be there (shortstackers as in buying in for $20k, lol).

Higher games make the fish go busto sooner. And not the fish fish but the people that don't have an edge in nosebleed limit games. So pretty much anyone that isnt ABA,PA,Durr and a few otehrs
