What are you beatin here. If he has 9 youre toast anyway, if he has any underpair to your tens he would have probably bet the flop or turn. It's not a death-blow, just irritating. But yeah, bet the flop and you increase your odds of this NOT happening. I see people slowplaying things and then going berserk when they get "caught up" on.
