Zach6668 513
Just kinda curious here. It's been mentioned in the past, but I'd like to know what the posters here think.Should we have a SH NL Forum, seperate from the FR NL forum? Please answer the poll, and reply with your thoughts.Thanks.- ZachNote - this in no way guarantees the creation of a SH NL forum, but just looking at the interest. I don't think there are enough hands being posted to warrant two forums. It would just involve you moving more posts to the proper forum
Zach6668 513
I see four votes and one reply here people. I need to know who is voting.
CobaltBlue 662
Just my personal opinion, but I think LHE and SHLHE are divergent enough to warrant separate forums. NLHE and SHNLHE...not so much. If we ever got a lot more traffic, I think it'd be worth considering though.

simo_8ball 1
The games are similar enough and the traffic is light enough that I don't see a driving need for it.
cwik 0
I'd say about 80% of the hands posted here are from short handed games. The question should be do we need a full ring forum.

I think if people just post # players when they post their hands, that's enough. NL players are more apt to play and understand both FR and SH games.
Zach6668 513
Yeah ok. I feel the same way.I'm going to make a version of the new Descriptive Titles and Content post in Tourney for here either later today or tomorrow, and try to ensure that everyone transitions to adding proper titles.I'll leave this up for a little while longer though in case anyone else has any insight. Snamuh 0
I voted yes, only because it might ensure that people give responses specifically for either short-handed or full ring, instead of accidentally overlooking the number of players at the table.
NEtwowilldo 0
I think the clowns from general should have their own separate website.
LongLiveYorke 38
def. not.it would life tilt me- JordanLOL!I voted no, as long as people are careful to indicate which one we're talking about in a given thread (which shouldn't be difficult with converters or whatever). I think too many threads have the effect of actually reducing traffic, and would for sure reduce cross traffic. It's not bad that people who play only shorthanded get to read and comment on full ring hands, and visa versa.
Roberts2003 0
i vote yes for sure, Shorthanded would also include heads up. the strategy for full ring compared to short handed is a lot different, and i am sick of people posting in my threads who dont understand heads up or short handed play. aucu 3
When short handed we all change how we play the game so a new forum would be nice but only if traffic goes up enough to justify it.So Yes but not now.

You should just put heads up in the subheading.

CobaltBlue 662
As outlined in the sticky at the top of the page.Meh. I still prefer my "creative" titles. They usually get the point across without being mundane, and they're more memorable and attention-grabbing.I'll start adding the number of players though.Probably something like...Utter Hilarity (6h) (3/6)Secondary Punchline

psujohn 0
I vote no.I also vote that it's nearly impossible to provide useful commentary on a HU hand if you only see the one hand and not the 20 preceding it. HU is so much about flow that a hand in isolation is hard to analyze.
Acid_Knight 2
I voted no. I barely look at the LHE or tourney forums and I don't post outside of strat. I guess what I'm saying is that I'm too f-ing lazy to check more than one forum so I prefer it to be all in one place. Also, Cobalt was right when he said that the difference between SHLE and LHE is so much larger than the difference between playing NLHE and SH NLHE. I don't think we have enough traffic to warrant the 2nd forum.
shrimp4789 0
i personally think we should add it, as SH NL is completely diff than FR NL......the playing style is diff, aggression is generally higher, and you need to adapt to it....i dunno i would like to see it and see how it goes....heck if all else fails you can merge em back cant ya? Zach6668 513
k, sorry to those who said yes, but it's pretty overwhelming in terms of the 'no' replies, at least for now. If we start to get a ton of traffic, then we'll revisit it.
