Just kinda curious here.

It's been mentioned in the past, but I'd like to know what the posters here think.

Should we have a SH NL Forum, seperate from the FR NL forum?

Please answer the poll, and reply with your thoughts.

Thanks.

- Zach

Note - this in no way guarantees the creation of a SH NL forum, but just looking at the interest.

I am for keeping it like it is. I don't think there are enough hands being posted to warrant two forums. It would just involve you moving more posts to the proper forum icon_biggrin.gif

Just my personal opinion, but I think LHE and SHLHE are divergent enough to warrant separate forums. NLHE and SHNLHE...not so much. If we ever got a lot more traffic, I think it'd be worth considering though.

I am really happy to enter in this site. Poker is one of the online gaming. It is very talented game. In poker game so many persons play with betting. It is almost gambling. It has so many types. Family members also play for fun with this game. We're all new players and we cannot play at 4 tables at once! It's incredible.

This is basically my thinking too, but I wanted to get a feel from the people who actually play the game.

The games are similar enough and the traffic is light enough that I don't see a driving need for it.

I'd say about 80% of the hands posted here are from short handed games. The question should be do we need a full ring forum.

Nah. I think if people just post # players when they post their hands, that's enough. NL players are more apt to play and understand both FR and SH games.

Yeah ok. I feel the same way.

I'm going to make a version of the new Descriptive Titles and Content post in Tourney for here either later today or tomorrow, and try to ensure that everyone transitions to adding proper titles.

I'll leave this up for a little while longer though in case anyone else has any insight.

I voted yes, only because it might ensure that people give responses specifically for either short-handed or full ring, instead of accidentally overlooking the number of players at the table.
Snamuh raises to $76.75, and is all in
BigKamp: yyou lose
BigKamp has 15 seconds left to act
BigKamp calls $24.50, and is all in
Seat 1: BigKamp (small blind) mucked [Ad Ac] - a full house, Aces full of Kings
Seat 2: Snamuh (big blind) showed [Kd Kh] and won ($102.50) with four of a kind, Kings
Snamuh: you lose

LOL!

I voted no, as long as people are careful to indicate which one we're talking about in a given thread (which shouldn't be difficult with converters or whatever). I think too many threads have the effect of actually reducing traffic, and would for sure reduce cross traffic. It's not bad that people who play only shorthanded get to read and comment on full ring hands, and visa versa.

i vote yes for sure, Shorthanded would also include heads up. the strategy for full ring compared to short handed is a lot different, and i am sick of people posting in my threads who dont understand heads up or short handed play.

When short handed we all change how we play the game so a new forum would be nice but only if traffic goes up enough to justify it.

So Yes but not now.

By now I expect your posts to be HU, but if you don't see the little thing that says (2players) at the top, it's hard to tell. You should just put heads up in the subheading.

Meh. I still prefer my "creative" titles. They usually get the point across without being mundane, and they're more memorable and attention-grabbing.

I'll start adding the number of players though.

Yours are fine.

Just trying to avoid:

"Can I get away from this?"

"Standard?"

etc.
