I will take that bet for $10, even money.
I like some of that action as well..I see the series going at least 6...and Detroit can win

I'll take the bet from both of you on a 3-1, my favor. San Jose 4, Detroit 1 is my bet, but I'd also get paid off on San Jose 4, Detroit 0. Any of the other possible outcomes are winners for you.

I predicted Detroit vs. Vancouver for the West. No betting here though...everytime a Nucks fan makes a bet Vancouver ends up losing a game. I've got every jinx on my radar :club:

Direct opposite, San Jose - Anaheim for my money.

If San Jose takes more than 5 games to dispatch the Wings, I'd be shocked.
As a life long Wings fan...okay maybe not lifelong but since I was 11 so 24 yrs, I agree with the above statement. Detroit does not match up well with SJ. SJ pushed us around all year. I think we only won a game against them and they schlacked us. I will be rooting for my boys in Red but I have no expectations to even see a game 5.

Yeah, you'll note that I haven't heard a word from Jeff or Serge about a bet now that they've had time to consider. Calgary - Detroit was a much better matchup for the Wings, and they still needed 6 games to get the job done. San Jose is bigger, faster, stronger, and they roll 4 lines extremely proficiently. The SJ forwards should have a field day with Detroit's defense, the only X factor is Hasek in my opinion, since he has the ability to make that net extremely tiny when he's on top of his game. You're older than I am Steve? I thought we were about the same age or you were a bit younger (I'm 30).

I was at class. I'll take it at even money, but not so much at 3:1. San Jose is a sick hockey club and I'm pretty sure they'll win the series... I'm just not so sure it'll be over in five.

It's just not even worth doing at even money. Even if the hockey gods 100% guaranteed a San Jose victory, the implied odds are even money against me getting the number of games right (two scenarios I win, 2 I lose). With Detroit having a possibility of winning the series outright, 3-1 is the correct lay (2 scenarios that win for me, 6 that win for you). I'll drop down to 2.5-1 up to a $50 bet, but beyond that I'm just not interested, there'd be no point.

I understand. Even if I had bet on it, I would have been rooting for the Wings to get swept just the same.

If it comes down to goaltending I would side with Hasek. Detroit has the veterens that know how to win so don't count them out. That being said a little birdie told me that there is some fighting going on in the dressing room, some veterens were not happy with the teams performance after game 4. Gruven have you heard anything about the fighting in the dressing room?

Yes. Not for public consumption. Suffice it to say that it's probably not that big a deal...

sounds good to me. does that mean you'd want a paypal transfer if you were to win?
Whatever you want to do is fine, I have (empty) accounts on FullTilt and Stars.
