Ok guys...i was just playing a $.25/$.50 blind no limit game over at ultimate bet when a few ridiculous hands ocurred. I cant even tell you how incredibly angry i am at their outcomes. This time im not bitching about the lucky catches on the river and such, but the plays these people are making. People with legitimate stacks ($50+). The first hand ocurred when i was dealt pocket J's on the button. I raised the blind to $2 flat and got 3 callers. ALREADY this shows some looseness. Flop comes down 2-K-J rainbow. Hallelujah, right? WRONG. I check...someone bets $2, first guy calls, and i raise it to $5 to go. Original better calls. turn is a Q. Uh-oh. Im starting to sense a suckout. I bet another $5 and get called down. The river is a 10 and im just sick. i check and he bets $2. Pot odds imply a call from my end so i oblige. guess what? he turns over the 8-9 for the sucker straight. Chasing my set of jacks from the flop with no pair and no draw. unbelievable right? It gets worse. On the very next hand i get dealt AK diamonds. Raise to $3 w/ two callers. Flop comes K-2-9 rainbow. I bet $3 and get two callers. Im concerned. Flop shows another blank, the 7 of clubs. I throw out another $3 bet and one player calls. River is a J. I think ive got the hand won so i put out a half pot sized bet. I get called. My friend flips over the 2-9. I lose again. Is this just my luck, or are these people for real? Someone hurry back with some kind of response or im going to lose my mind. Sure, they're fish, but they're WINNING.

Ok first of all, you played these hands incorrectly inviting the outdraws. You didn't even raise much on the flop when you flopped your set of j's. OK, perhaps you can just slow play it I guess, but then on the turn, there's a Q. You only bet $5 into a pot that has about $25?? How do you expect a fold when you bet that little? Make a potsized bet at least in this situation, make it costly for him to chase that straight. Your mistakes are you made it cheap for him to chase even though he's an idiot for chasing that. If you had bet more on the flop/turn, you would have likely gotten them to fold. The 2nd hand, you just got a bit unlucky, but again your betting pattern is totally wrong. There's no way that you bet the same amount of $3 every time when you actually think you have the best hand. betting out $3 into a pot of $10 when you have top pair and top kicker is terrible. You need to bet more and make your opponents pay for trying to outdraw you. You need to fix up your betting structure, because right now it's seriously flawed. It doesn't matter how much money you win or lose in a pot, there is a right play and a wrong play. If you made the right play and lost a huge pot, pat yourself on the back, you played it the best you could. If you win a monster pot and totally misplayed it, you should be upset with yourself and not happy at all.

Here's a hint....stop playing $.25/&.50....make it acually worth something.....no one cares about losing a 3 dollar a pot
