was this correct to fold? (just spoiled the ending)

Fold. You are way behind here. He re-raised preflop with 2 limpers and a raiser in front of him. Absent a read, this means a high pocket pair or AK.After he checked the turn, I put him on AA, KK or AK (although I think KK or AK are more likely, given that you hold and ace and there is an ace on the board. AQ is possible, as his preflop raise could have been an isolation play since he was on the button. He "wakes up" and raises on the turn after you lead into him. He obviously either likes the ace or is not afraid of it. I believe you are drawing dead here.Check calling the rest of the hand is not good poker, imo. (Unless you have a read on the player that makes you think you could actually be ahead here).
