How aggressive is he? Would he 3-bet the turn with an overpair? If yes, raise the river and then call a 3-bet. If not...then maybe calling on the river is okay. He didn't raise pre-flop though, a 5 is supposedly more likely than an overpair in such a case.

I should have said the villian is loose passive. I didn't raise because I couldn't put him on anything other than a 5 after he bet into a PF raiser, 3-bet the turn, and then comes at me again.

So what possible hands could he have? An overpair would never 3-bet the turn. Another option would be a straight with 68, but loose passives rarely lead into a PF raiser even with a strong draw for fear of being raised. I couldn't think of a single hand he could have with the exception of a 5.

Yea, he had the 5. However, my real question is, what hands could a loose passive have other than a 5? TPTK, 2 pair, or an overpair isn't 3-betting the turn, a straight isn't leading into the river, and 44 isn't betting the flop in EP.
