scram 1
Just watched this. Wow. Talk about showing the ugly truth without any gloss.IMO, this DVD should be included with every set of poker chips sold worldwide and shown to every "young" poker player with big tourney dreams and green felt aspirations. Anyone else see it?
iowahawk09 0
Never heard of it. Any chance its on the net somewhere?
scram 1
It's available for theft via orrent-tay on the oker-pay ay-bay. There is a clip of it in my sigline. It is absolutely the best poker documentary ever made, bar none. A little hokey at times, but generally, the best example of "what can happen" if you're a degenerate gambler or lacking the requisite talent to succeed in the game and unwilling to face that fact. Ukosumu 0
Just watched the clip and this could be a very interesting DVD. Definitely would shine a different light on the poker world for me here in the heartland where all you see is the glitz and glamour on TV.

A little hokey at times, but generally, the best example of "what can happen" if you're a degenerate gambler or lacking the requisite talent to succeed in the game and unwilling to face that fact. So, does it follow people who are bad at poker? Does it examine their lives or does it focus more just on the game itself? Does it follow one or two people or many people?
scram 1
My favorite quote from the clip:"All you've got to do is take one or two bad beads and there goes the bankroll....."Uh, no, you degenerate bum. Your bankroll management skills explain why you live in a ****ing box.
scram 1
So, does it follow people who are bad at poker? Does it examine their lives or does it focus more just on the game itself? Does it follow one or two people or many people? It follows poker players, some of whom are extremely talented players in their own rights (like Yohanes Muruz and Rocky Romano) but are degenerates who gamble and/or have no money management skills. Guys like Mike Tullis (he used to be a brilliant handicapper) who at present, one might confuse for any given homeless man seen in any given park doused in leaves, pigeon crap and cheap beer.It details people who lived "the poker life" but didn't have the skills to make it profit for them. It also touches on grinders who make it work. It really is a panoply of different subjects. It examines their lives as their lives pertain to poker.
