Emptyeye 0
You're getting 9-1, but you only have four outs that you can truly consider clean, meaning you need closer to 11-1 to call.Yeah, (disgusting)

wrto4556 0
Also, who's says he's not betting a flush draw?
akishore 0
really?you almost never have the best hand here with ace-high. the board is two-suited, so two of your outs aren't really clean (he might be semi-bluffing with a flush draw, and you don't know if he has a pair to go with it). you might be drawing nearly dead to a set. your overcard outs might not even be clean against A-10 or the like. basically, you have a really weak draw which is even weaker considering the board and the fact that your outs aren't very clean.you COULD call, but isn't it basically spewing chips? what will you do if the turn brings an A ? K ? J or J or J ?unless your read on the guy is that he bluffs a lot into several opponents, just fold.aseem
wrto4556 0
I agree.Although, I think it's an easy peel.If I pair I raise and fold to a 3-bet. The pot is small.EDIT: Folding is better.
Vade 0
Calling is terrible, I thinkIf I've learned one thing about these hands it's the person who stays in control wins the hand most of the time (btw...I'm on an ugly NL rush where I'm trying the same thing...keeping control)Raising...eh, A high isn't gonna be good that often, and do you really think they'd be leading out with anything less then an 8 or a flush drawIt's a tossup between raising and folding, I can see an argument for both, I'd lean slightly towards folding
Emptyeye 0
I have BD straight draws. Plus if raising buys me a free card I have improved my odds.Okay, but I hope you're taking into account that, again, not all your straight draws are necessarily clean. And of course, if he leads into you on the turn, then you feel silly for having spent two small bets instead of none post-flop.So I guess the question is, do you think you'll hit one of your true outs (As opposed to a draw) OR (Have a blank fall BUT succeed in buying a free card) often enough to justify the raise as opposed to a fold? I'm really not sure.
akishore 0
ok, i guess i exxagerated. it's not disgusting, but it's a clear fold, IMHO.if it was heads-up, it's a raise, of course.aseem
wrto4556 0
The free card play never works. Folding is best...I just wanted to make sure. I like to argue. :-)
KDawgCometh 2
I'm in the minority. I like it. I don't see what's werong with, its a free card play, nothing more then that. Most flush draws don't bet out at 2/4, I've played more then enough hands there to know. Man I've made this pklay myself, then again I have been accused of being a LAG  . I think it works more then it doesn't work. If he is betting on a flush draw that misses, then your Ace high can win UI

Folding is my best option.A) he has me beat and I am spewing chips.B) he is semi-bluffing. Elaborate: 2 ways to defend against the semi-bluff, fold or raise. imo, my hand is not strong enough to raise. If there was a spade out there...you couldn't stop me....but that's not the case. obs 0
The free card play works quite well against passive opponents.
Smasharoo 0
This is an easy raise and an easy fold to a three-bet.
TJ_Eckleburg 0
I don't know. I think it's definitely between raising and folding. All I know is there are three things I really hate in this world:1) Excitedly getting my single bet or raise in with an overpair to the flop in limit hold'em, and helplessly watch EVERYBODY call and give each other odds to chase me.2) An unimproved AK in limit hold'em.3) Florida, Tennesee, Auburn, and GA Tech fans. This falls under category number 2.I'd personally fold. Only because I know I'm saving myself from myself.. and keeping from going crazy chip-spewing with an unimproved AK, as I've been known to do.
