So my league with my friends fell apart today, and I would appreciate serious responses, please. The guy I'm playing this week failed to meet IP requirements because he had a start get rained out on Sunday.
Background: 10-team league--H2H--10 Off Categories, 10 Pitching Categories--30 IP required
He had 21 IP going into Sunday and had Ted Lilly scheduled, and he picked up Greinke (KC) on sat. Lilly went 6 and Greinke got rained out so he failed to make innings. He only carried 5 pitchers into the week where everyone else has atleast 6 most cases 7, to make sure we make innings. Well when he found out that he would lose all categories he made a ridiculous trade and said "I'm going to ruin the league". He made the trade with the commissioner who then changed IP requirements to 0. With that changed to 0 means that I end up 1-6 in pitching this week. Now I ended up with 34 IP, but if I could take away one of my bad starts and equal the 27 IP of my opponent I would then win 6-1 in pitching (3 of my 6 starts work for this). Basically I am being penalized dramatically for complying to the rules. As of now I lost the week 3-13 instead of 8-8, or even I win 12-7 if he forfeits all pitching as the rules were agreed to before the season.
So what am I supposed to do? It's not really my style to threaten to quit the league, but at the same time how can I just let this go? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Id ask for a league vote on the matter. Thats the best way to solve most problems in a fantasy league.

The commissioner is changing the rules 2 weeks in because a rainout screwed somebody over? Worst...commissioner....ever. Demand a refund and get out of there.

Ya it was an f-ing joke. I ended up losing 7 games in the standings because of it. My opponent last week realized how f-ed I got and said he won't pitch anybody when we play again so I get all the pitching categories to make up for it, but if it really happens remains to be seen.

That doesn't really make up for it. It makes up for the week you got screwed over, but what about the wins you would've normally gotten the next time you played him, which are now being used to make up for when you got screwed over. I personally wouldn't be too involved/concerned about a league where the commissioner says he's going to ruin the league.

Exactly, no one in the league understands that, but whatever it's made me want to win the league even more now. This is our third year and I won the first two so if I can somehow win this one too with what happened it'll be legendary. I'm now chasing fantasy immortality.
