If he's also a calling station, I shove the turn, or at least reraise.

On this river, if you were ahead, you're probably still ahead. He would have led with the Kh, I assume.

I make a value bet.

If he's a super aggro donkey, I'd wager that the river is a bad card for him. I doubt he ever has the 2 or the K of hearts after checking that river. It's more likely he had a set or smaller flush on the turn.

I'm gonna bet $20 on the river and call a shove from him. I just don't think someone that aggressive is gonna go for a check raise with the nuts (or the K high flush) as opposed to leading into you with it on the river. I mean, he 3 bet the turn OOP and is now checking the river. It's MUCH more likely that the river looks like a terrible card for him than it is that it made his hand.

Why did we slow down on the turn?

I agree with the new poster who posted above me on the river, BTW.

EDIT: If I start a petition to have Zach change his signature or at least make it smaller, will anyone sign it? I'm perfectly willing to cheer against the Penguins if that's what it takes.
Peace,
Jay

New nothing. I got the same post count as you do now. This is what a strcutural engineer does with his time at work by the way - contribute witty and insightful advice to his favorite local poker furm.

I'll sign it. I don't even care about hockey, but then again, I'm not from Canada either...

I agree about the turn pump that pot, I don't really know what more we could ask for.

And I would not sign the petition

Posting a bunch to increase post count = lame.

Here's my witty title for this hand, but only if our boy Neck lost the hand.

Haha. I kill me.

Zach is the awesomest mod ever,

I slowed down on the turn because if the river wasn't a heart he would pot it and then I could push and he has to call.

There were so many hands that he would fold if I reraise him there (maybe I am wrong). If I had a lower flush draw like 56 or something but even if the heart hits I am going to only be behind one card.

The signature stays until they are eliminated.

End of discussion.

It's not even that big... maybe it's time to get away from your old CRT 480 by 600 resolution...

Then you should be re-raising the turn. Actually the way he played it you should be re-raising anyway. He has to have exactly KXh, when he could be semi-bluffing with only the Kh, have a set or two pair, and possibly overplaying a good ace.

On the river depends on how tricky I think villain is, would he check with the K?

i tried to talk here about that program, the RNG , not to talk about when to accept all in without to see flop.
You can accept all in whenever you want, or whenever you feel lucky, but in virtual room's is not like in reality. In reality anything is possible... in virtual rooms you can be "the one" who knows the future, or who can change the future.

The problem though is that this Villian there is a 30% chance he has ir here and would have to fold to a big bet.

And he will put a decent amount of his stack in on the river with air, three of a kind, two pair ect. as long as the river card isn't a heart.

But you guys are probably right... maybe I should just shovel

I'm fine with your reasoning. I just wanted to know if there was a reason.

Definitely, if taking this line with air is reasonable for this particular villain, let him hang himself.

And Zach, you called my bluff. I can't root for the Pens' opponent since I'm too lazy to look up who it is. I will say this, though...Go Lightning! (see how small and subtle this is?)

Jay

I think the 70% of the time he doesn't have air he's paying you off big if you let him before the scare card comes. Or you let him hit cheaply and may end up paying him off big.
