timwakefield 69
Playing a little horse, just wondering if it's ridiculous not to 3-bet this PF. My thinking is that I'm OOP vs 4 players, and am basically telegraphing my hand if I raise. If I call though it seems to me that nobody will be worried that I have aces or kings. Obviously the flop plays itself, as did the other streets. bobbywithani 0
I three bet plenty of hands out of the BB besides Aces, you should too. Not three-betting this is horrible. Who cares even if they do put you on aces, do you really think anyone is folding?

Who cares even if they do put you on aces, do you really think anyone is folding? No I know they're all calling (which builds the pot nicely), but my thinking is that if I define my hand like that then I might not get action on the flop/turn/river from hands that can't beat queens or kings. But you're probably right, in a multiway pot like that they're gonna play their own hands much more than they consider mine.
Zach6668 513
Tim,If you enjoy money, then I'd recommend 3-betting here. Please don't make me explain preflop equity. I'm fairly certain you understand it.Concealing the strength of your hand is not nearly as important as getting value from it, in fact, I'd say it's probably insignificant. See my post in NLHE also called Aces, OOP for perhaps a more interesting hand.
antistuff 0
the amount you are giving up by not 3 betting preflop when your edge is huge can never be made up for postflop by your hand being disguised. if you feel that 3 betting there is giving your hand away you arent making it three before the flop often enough.edit: i think there are certain situations heads up when you might get more by not tossing in that extra bet prefop with aces, multi way this is never the case. A lot of people advocate just calling a 3-bet when we are HU with AA. In that spot, I prefer capping mainly because I cap with lots of hands in that spot (in shorthanded play, anyways), but multiway, this should never be an option. It's the same as us flopping a set, and betting out and getting raised, if we're HU, we can conceal a bit, but if I get a coldcaller or two, I'm 3-betting all day. Actuary 3
welcome to go ol' alabama.you were moving to alabama right?yep.Seriously, Birmingham is great. As it turns out, I know nothing about plumbing,$55 later, it was determined the unhooked washing machine faucet small leak had run down the upstairs wall and onto the pantry ceiling below. The faucet had turned on a tad after being shut for 2 months.I panicked and stayed at home for 1.5 days "unable to shower".I'm pretty embarrassed.
