Recommended Posts

Limit Hold'em: Winning Short-handed Strategies (Paperback) by Terry Borer (Author), Lawrence Mak (Author), Barry Tanenbaum (Collaborator)To be released August 1, 2007Neither of the authors appear on the hendonmob.com database, though according to the blurb at amazon.com, "They have been extremely successful online and have privately mentored a number of high-level players."This is all I could get on Tanenbaum:http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=39958$75 won after $100 entry fee??? Fifth place? lol... Barry's $-25 on lifetime tourney play. :club: Okay, so maybe they aren't tournament players, lol.I never liked the articles he's written, and his appearance on some DVD was useless.Maybe one of you guys can convince D&B to give you a chance. They usually put out good books. What gives?Anyone view the DVD set by David Fromm yet? It's on shorthanded limit HE play.

Since when did tournament success become important for authors of SH FL books? So you're saying you have to win a cople of prestigeus NL tournaments to be any good? What kind of record does Brad Booth have? He's never won anything, just some cashes, a third in a WPT, does that make him a bad NL player?

well, if they were anything of anybody, we'd have heard of them before. look at all the authors out there that dont necessarily have a 'ton' of wins.. bob ciaffone, greenstein (he has a few but not like most would think), etc. theyre amazing authors, but we've heard of them. these guys are unknowns putting out a book, just like the guys who put out poker for dummies and any other basic book...

Barry Tannenbaum is a long time mid stakes Vegas LHE proas far as Dave Fromm's stuff, I have no doubt that it is top class stuff. JASucker has always given some of the best advice in the High Stakes forum
