MP1: t2270
MP2: t925
CO: t510
Button: t2805
SB: t1350

Pre-flop: (8 players) Hero is BB with 2 icon_suit_club.gif Q icon_suit_diamond.gif
2 folds, MP1 calls t80 (pot was t120), 3 folds, SB calls t40 (pot was t200), Hero checks.

Flop: 9 icon_suit_heart.gif K icon_suit_heart.gif Q icon_suit_club.gif (t240, 3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t140, MP1 calls t140 (pot was t380), SB folds.

Turn: K icon_suit_club.gif (t520, 2 players)
Hero bets t200, MP1 raises to t600, Hero raises all-in t1120, MP1 calls t520 (pot was t2240).

River: 8 icon_suit_diamond.gif (t2760, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: t2760)

Final pot: t2760

My line of thinking was such that with a limp call PF and then no raise on the flop, it was VERY likely that he was not holding a K.

With this action you cant discount Ks other than AK and may KJ, better Qs, or a straight.

Slowplayed the 10 J didn't he? That hand is very possible here. So is K 9.

Either way I hate pushing here because we only get called if we are drawing dead.

If you really think your hand is good you can just call here then make a smallish but not too weak-looking defensive bet on the river. If you still get raised, let it go.

The lead on the flop is a bit aggressive for my tastes, but it's probably a difference in style. On the turn, you really need to slow down. What do you think he called you on the flop with? You have second pair, bottom kicker, and you push when he reraises you? I think it's an easy c/f on the turn after you got called on the flop. Even if he only has a heart draw, are you really willing to risk your whole stack with this hand? Being LAG is fine, but this is suicidal.

I hate the way you played this hand. I don't really know what else to say. The only reason the push on the turn has value is if you fold a better queen, or get called by a 9. I don't think this EVER happens.

Seriously, just check/fold the flop.

Or, I don't mind the flop bet, but when you're called, c/f the turn.

Sorry..it was late. I was trying to say that there are approximately 1,795,233 hands that beat you here, but everyone else said it better!

You can't even min raise here, what do you expect him to fold here? That raise on the turn signifies that he has a strong hand, I believe had jack 10 or a weak king..

Bad play

Moral of the story#1: When your opponent doesn't raise your bet on the flop, that doesn't necessarily mean he has a bad hand. (This comes down to reads, mostly.)

Moral of the story#2: Play cautiously with marginal hands on coordinated flops.
