Okay, we all can agree that if you have the A and it flops a 3 flush for you, you're going to chase as long as you get the odds. But what if you DON'T have the A? What if the A flops? Well you assume K is nearly as good. But if a K is good, how about a Q? a J? Lets discuss this specific situation. You're in the BB with 9
2
. Your junk sees a free flop. at an insane room. 6 limpers total, including the SB and you.A
4
J
flops giving you a flush draw. Its checked nad the guy on your immediate left bets. two additional callers and its on you.Do you chase a four flush? You're way behind if you pair.(by the way, no, I did fold. lol)What if you had the Q in this situation? Having the left nuts may influence your decision.Example number 2: A
Q
in the CO. You raise behind 4 limpers and manage to isolate them.Flop is 78T
First guy bets and second guy reraises. What do you do? Chase the four flush? Overs?

Only chase when you have the highest flush card possible most of the timeIf the flop is AKQ suited, then Calling with the jack is good, as is raising it some of the time
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

besides, if you hit a 4th flush card, how much action are you gonna get on it? Not much unless someone has a better flush.

Heavily depends on the number of limpers. With 6, nut or 2nd nut only.

But what if a three flush drops, the J is one of them, and you have AQ, Q matching. Do you chase with overcards, too?

there was a recent cardplayer article about this situation. search cardplayer.com through google for it.basically, if you don't have one of that suit (exception being a set), strongly consider folding.second, if it's multiway (three or more opponents), only chase nut and second nut flushes.if it's three-way or heads-up, chase even fourth-nut flushes if your odds are right, especially with a pair or an overcard.otherwise, overcards are useless since your outs are basically cut in half and the reverse implied odds are huge.aseem

on A
J

flop - fold. fourth-nut flush draw sucks multiway, and you have a terrible second card. big reverse implied odds.A
Q
on T
8

- fold, ESPECIALLY since you're facing two cold, but also because your overs are no good, third-nut flush draw sucks multiway, and you have big reverse implied odds (you'll only pay off higher flushes, but lower flushes won't pay you).offsuit overcards REALLY suck on these flops. don't play for the overs. only the flush matters.aseem
