asytnik 0
I've been playing a lot of the old NES/SNES titles recently and the one thing I've noticed is that with companies focusing on the latest and greatest graphics, gameplay has become so much easier over the years. Who do you think is the hardest video game boss of any platform? My pick goes to to Mike Tyson (or Mr. Dream depending on when you got the game) of the NES Punch Out.This guy is just....hard. Jadaki 1
This guy is just....hard.He isn't that hard, everything in that game is patterns and once you figure his out you can beat him without getting hit once.
navybuttons 16
when i read the title "Mike Tyson" was immediately who i thought of.damn he was hard.
fryer98 30
damn he was hard.Desiree Washington agrees.
Yoda 1
This mother fucker with the game set to hard was way tougher then Mike Tyson.
Dogpatch 2
He isn't that hard, everything in that game is patterns and once you figure his out you can beat him without getting hit once.Alot of people are gonna say you're just being cool. But you're absolutely right. I mean you can only get hit like 3 times and you lose. So you have to get where you can beat him without getting hit. Still one of the funnest games ever though. zimmer4141 0
RPG Bosses I'd say Kefka from Final Fantasy III in the final battle.
Dirtydutch 9
More recently, Dead to Rights had some tough bosses. And The Getaway was just tough in general.
strategy 4
How about Ozma from FFIX? Dude just randomly takes turns completely out of sequence and does percentage-based attacks. Even if you level up ridiculously, you're still a dog to beat him.

CobaltBlue 662
I'm pretty sure Judge Doom was considered quite difficult. The game was badly difficult enough that I never made it that far. Here's Angry Nintendo Nerd's review of Roger Rabbit for NES:

Still one of the funnest games ever though.Don't get me wrong, you have to put in a lot of time to learn the patterns but once you have it down he is ridiculously easy. Any boss with a more reactive AI, not a set pattern, will always be tougher than Tyson.
asytnik 0
How about Jaquio from Ninja Gaiden 1? Anyone remember this nightmare? I guess you can argue that he too has a pattern so he isn't that hard. But back in the day we didn't have "save states" and if you died to this guy while trying to figure out the pattern, you were sent back all the way to 6-1 and had to do everything over again. Almost broke quite a few controllers on this one
Yoda 1
You're crazy, Bison was one of the easier people to beat in that game.Stop playing games on easy. In the turbo edition and on hard he was insane.

Governator 54
Mike Tyson hands down!!!Easiest goes to Bowser in Super Mario World (SNES)EDIT: Campaigner in Turok (N64) was very hard as well.
Yoda 1
Easiest goes to Bowser in every super mario game ever.FYP - Actually I probably haven't played EVERY one of them, but every mario i've played bowser was easy Has it gotten any tougher the last 1-2 Marios?

Shimmering Wang 1
The Fat Cat from Chip & Dale.Just kidding, he was a joke.Ozma was pretty tough, Strat, but not as tough as Emerald Weapon or Ruby Weapon. I don't know if they count, though, because they're optional.Wang

I don't know if they count, though, because they're optional.WangRuby was pretty hard since he would take away two of your characters right off the bat (unless you knew the trick). Also, his having a million hit points and countering every KOTR with an ultima that destroyed your party didn't help either.
