I imagine we have some wrestling fans in this forum. People say that it is childish but I think it is great entertainment. Its better than most tv shows out there becuase it is new every week, there are no reruns, the athletes are very athletic and are great actors (despite when people say they aren't), its real (it may be scripted, but the actions and moves are real) and it is great tv.

This Wrestlemania was from Detroit and it was great. Here's a recap of it:

The money in the bank ladder match:
Great match. Jeff Hardy was on top of the big ladder in the ring and Edge was lying on a ladder outside the ring that was held up between the ring apron and the stands. Jeff did a leg drop off the top ladder and through Edge's gut. The ladder Edge was on snapped in half and Edge needed to be taked out on a stretcher. Mr. Kennedy eventually won the match.

The Great Khali vs. Kane:
Not a great match. Khali domminated most of it and won with his two handed chokeslam.

Chris Benoit vs. MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter):
Suprisingly, MVP was dominating most but Benoit eventually won after his diving headbutt.

The Undertaker vs. Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship
This was a terrific match. I was expecting Undertaker to completley destroy but Batista brought his best and was great. He pulled off his spear and Batista bomb, but lost to the Undertaker's Last ride, chokeslam, then finally the tombstone piledriver. Undertaker is now 15-0 at Wrestlemania.

The ECW Originals (Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, The Sandman and Rob Van Dam) vs. The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Marcus Cor Von, Matt Striker and Kevin Thorn)
This was a better match than I expected. Not terrific but not boring either. ECW originals won after a Five-Star From Splash from RVD to Matt Striker.

Battle of the Billionaires (Trump's Lashley vs. McMahon's Umaga-the losing billionaire has to shave their head) with special guest referee Stone Cold Steve Austin.
After Austin was rough with Umaga for not breaking a hold in the corner, Umaga Samoan spiked him. Shane McMahon came in and did a Coast to Coast (jumped from one turnbuckle to another and kicked a trash can in Lashley's face) to Lashley. Stone Cold came back and stunned him, and beat up Shane. Lashley won and Stone Cold stunned Vince while Lashley and Trump shaved his head. Stone Cold then stunned Trump and left.

Melina vs. Ashley Massaro in a lumberjill match for the WWE women's championship
All the divas surrounded the ring and Melina eventually won. Not a great match altogether.

John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship
This was a great match. HBK was dominating at the beginning then Cena came back. After they each did they finishing moves a couple of times, Cena got Michael's in the middle of the ring with the STFU and HBK tapped out. Cena won in a great match.

All in all this was a great Wrestlemania.
Any thoughts?

The moves are not real. The "ladder" that snapped in half was probably made of foam.
3 reasons why you can accept all in withouth see the floop:

1. if i am 200% convinced that i am a lucky guy and i will win

2. if i have the cards in hand that i wish(diferent cases: AA; AK; ... etc)

3. if i have a so called PokerRNG program that can copy the original RNG

you could not be more wrong. wrestling is scripted, but the stuff is real. and the ladder was not made of foam. you could tell by the reactions of everybody- including the wrestlers and the referees and the commentators.

I don't think so, saw a clip of it on YouTube before WWE had them removed and holy crap it looked like the guy landed on him wrong and it hurt.

Why did you put this in the "sports" forum?

I thought that WWE is just "entertainment."

It's sports entertainment...

There is precedent for posting wrestling threads in this forum as done by one of the forums mods.

if you don't think that the wrestlers are athletes and what they do isn't a sport, then you haven't seen one match

Showstopper, you crack me up. I still watch wrestling, but you have actually chronicled all of the moves, analyzed it like an actual sporting event.

Big screw up during the broadcast, when they were advertising vengeance Shawn Michaels voice was yelling about revenge for his loss- he hadn't lost yet. Kind of blew the suspense, easily one of his best matches ever and I knew he would lose because they actually let it out during the broadcast. Pretty stupid. I still think his Razor Ramon ladder match is his best ever, but it was close.

I wonder if good old Razor watched it between lines of blow? Somehow I doubt they get PPV at roach motels. Gotta save room for 16 low quality porn channels. Speakinf of that, what is it with shitty motels and porn? No clean towels, but all the porn a man can handle. Does being broke equal I don't want towels, but crave inordinate amounts of porn? I never understood that. Anybody?
So much for a comeback.
