This seems about rightBob McKenzie@TSNBobMcKenzieWow, that didn't take long on the Karlsson contract. 7 years, annual cap hit of $6.5M.

I thought Ottawa would end up paying closer to 7. Pretty good deal for them. Get him locked up through his best years at a very good price. Even better if he keep improving on his defensive play.

His positioning was way better last year and with his hand-eye coordination he was way better at intercepting passes, etc. He could bulk up more to be a more physical presence but he's worried he'll lose his nimbleness.

David Shoalts@dshoaltsIsles takind dead aim at the salary-cap floor I see. Cap Geek: Visnovsky cap hit $5.6-m, actual salary $3m.

Was surprised Anaheim couldn't get more for Visnovsky given the salary/cap differential. I realize that is bad for a lot of teams, but there have to be more than a few cap floor teams who would love that combo.
Long signatures are really annoying.

He's coming off a pretty piss-poor season (by his standards) with the Ducks and there's been speculation (although denied by the player and his agent) that Lubo is entertaining offers in Europe not to return to the NHL next year. Couple that with a $5.6 million cap hit and there's not a lot of teams that are going to be terribly interested in his services. Kinda like Souray and Redden, there's a value to having those players on an NHL team, but not necessarily the cap number they carry with them.

The only way to speak "loudly" on the internet is to TYPE IN CAPS. AND I RARELY TYPE IN CAPS.

That's because it's really high, even for Calgary.

You know you are signing someone to an overpaid contact when they ask for a NMC (so they can't be burried in the minors) rather than a NTC...

I just heard that a friend that I played hockey with last year committed suicide. And yes, he was probably the most outgoing guy in the room, and looked as happy as can be. Its true what they say, you never have a clue whats really going on with people, what they are going through. RIP. Fcking brutal.

For those looking for Twitter amusement. If you already arent do yourself a favour and follow @Princesss_SassFor those of you that missed it , she is the hockey bunny(slut, whore) that got some play last week from her tweets with Joffrey Lupul. Apparently Lupul asked her for naked pics and it became public. She apparently slept with a handful of the 2012 draftees in Pittsburgh. She is a Pittsburgh Penguin fan and very crazy and slutty.
