But since you haven't played a hand at this table yet, you can just call. I don't mind playing OOP since it's likely you have the best hand right now and have a lot of the two villain's possible holdings dominated. Link to post Share on other sites

You can be aggressive and take control of the hand or you can decide to take a flop and re-evaluate from there. You've got no reads; both plays are acceptable. Link to post Share on other sites

However, I usually wait until I have at least some info about how my opponents play. I play AK in cash games a lot like others do in tournies. The key is to 3-bet when theres a bet and a few calls or 4 bet if there's some players involved who respect 4-bets too much. I don't mind even racing against QQ or JJ when my opponents' frustration at my preflop aggression has boiled over to the point of calling all in with those. You'd be surprised at how many mid-sized pots you can pick up preflop this way and how much more action you'll get when you have AA/KK if you've been real active doing this.You'll also enjoy how aggressively people will play AQ on ace high flop if the hand is 3-bet preflop.
