Final table of $24+2 12k Guarantee. SB is SS and strangely call-fold last hand and is somewhat weak-tight. BB is a strange fella who overplays poor hands.

SB could be running a stop n go especially on a flop like that which missed anybody playing two overcards.

I would expect BB to raise AA-QQ preflop - if he overplays poor hands, then he could be calling with a lower PP or two overcards.

I could see a tricky player cold calling preflop with AA/KK however and then just calling the SB all-in to suck you in. Your read doesn't indicate that he is that type of player so I jam here as there's already 100K in the pot and any raise commits you. I don't just call as I don't want to give free cards if BB just has overs.

Hero Jams.

He doesn't have to have an 8 here, and he could have plenty of hands that you beat here.

SnG w/ A high is what you'll see a lot from the sb... BB probably has a decent pair.

I call, and expect to be ahead.

Hero jammed, BB instacalls with A8. SB shows A5.

In all honesty, I thought SB was going/needed to jam preflop. I put BB's range from A-J/A-T, <TT. I really thought I was ahead there, but apparently A-8 is in villan's range.

Nevertheless, is there a way that I don't go broke there? I guess BB played the hand well knowing I have a big PP and prayed to flop trips with A-8 and double up off of me.
