Well, if youre sure he'll call most one pairs here...betting isnt a bad idea. And the way you describe him, you could possibly bet/fold here. In practice though, I have lots of difficulty of betting just 1 pair on the river.

Check the river in the dark.Call if you think he is capable of bluffing.Fold if he plays too straightforward.I like the way you played this hand though.
