You mean putting a full bet on 3rd?I don't know this hnad has little room to improve IMO.If it was a blank 4th , i was gonna go check/fold mode.

Isn't 3 to a straight flush a strong hand in stud?I was thinking like a "preflop raise", but am not all that familiar with stud terms, etc.Just curious if a value raise here would work.

3rd is fine because we don't want to go heads-up. Leading 5th is very good because of their weak boards. Your board looks potentially dangerous, and fold equity may be high. And you've developed a pair as well as the str8 draw.

no, because it's a good "drawing hand" lets say for instance, on 4th it checks around, I'm betting, I want to build the pot to create my own draw equity, this is the only way I'm betting with a drawing hand until it's made.
