I've never played poker in a casino before (mostly because I'm only 16) so I dont quiet know all the rules of a poker room. So my question (quite oblviously) is if a person is able to play two hands in a poker room. I know you're allowed to play more than one hand in blackjack, but since you're going up against other players in poker, it's different right? Thanks a lot, and I look forward to your response.

No, it would give you too much of an advantage (ability to check / raise yourself) and see too many cards.

haha we were actually discussing that last time i was at the casino. a drunk guy sat down and tried to get the dealer to let him play two hands at the same time, and got us talking about it.the obvious answer was no. like they said above, you could raise people out of the pot, and you get to see extra cards so you know whats out of the deck.that'd be pretty funny though. a drunk guy in the hand by himself... he flops trips and traps his other hand into betting and then checkraises himself. he calls with the other hand and hits a 2 outer on the river and then starts yelling at himself for making such a bad play and getting so lucky.
