I like the way you played mostly. Hand 3 though, I think you waste 2 BB's. Unless you thought he was purely bluffing, he won't lay down to your raise on the turn and the bluff on the river.

I think 3-betting with 10-10 is bad unless you can effectively isolate. once in a while (like the 1st hand) its good, but in the second hand all it does is build the pot and you probably need to trip to win. 3-bet with them when it gives you an edge, otherwise play them like a mid pair. dont make 3-betting with them a rule of thumb.

i saw him at the riverbank. he was breaking bread and giving thanks. with crosses made of pipes and planks. leaned up against the nitrous tanks.
he said take a hit. hold your breath and i'll dunk your head. then when you wake up, you'll be high as hell and born again.

It does look like the bad run was starting to get to you.It happens.
Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

My bad run has affected my play to some degree, but I'll give my thought process for each hand and the outcomes. The biggest dissapointment I have is that most of the outcomes don't reinforce the idea that I made bad decisions. IMHO it is a hard thing to recognize bad decisions when you win with them, or lose to poor opponents.I probably should not have included this one since it was three-handed. Playing short handed is a different beast entirely, however here is what was going through my head:Pre-flop, I'm loving TT, and I'm cap'n if I get the chance. Three handed this is a monster.Post-flop. Ok, now I"m dismayed. This is probably one of the worst flops imaginable (outside of 3 over cards.) There are a ton of straight possibilities, and the flush draw. I decide to stay agressive; my opponent could literally have anything, and I'm still somewhat comfortable with my hand. At a full table (7-10 players opposed to 3,) I simply call the SB's bet. Maybe a single raise, but much less likely.Turn. Flush draw potentially hit. Ax potentially hit. I slow down and simply call. SB has matched my agression post flop, I want to see his flush, or straight or whatever.River. Stop the insanity! The fourth club is like a dagger to the heart, I have to be beat by a flopped straight or a flush, right?SB proudly flips over his 4

- I think I gag a little at this point.Pre-flop. Up to this point I had not made many attempts to protect my blinds (75+ hands or so.) I figure this is as good a spot as any to do so.Post-Flop. Mother scratcher. One of these losers probably stayed in with Q-rag. Oh well, continue the aggression, and let one of them take it away (probably folding to a raise-call, or even a raise.)Turn. I figure this had to hit someone, so i check it. I'm really not sure why I call (tilt,) looking back at it I should have either bet, or folded opposed to a check-call. (If I had bet, it should have been with the intention of folding to a raise.)River. I have to be beat. Check. Disappointed that it checked around (could I have actually stole the pot with a bet on the Turn?) Oh well, I figure I'm beat even with the checks.UTG+2 flips over A
J
- Nice. doubt he was going away regardless of what happened.Button mucks 8

- One out of two isn't all that bad  Pre-flop. KQs is looking good to me (hell everything probably looks good to me.) Good enough to call, good enough to raise. Biggity-bam.Post-flop. One card away from the nut-flush. I want it, its my precious! I am actually not that big of a chaser normally, so this is a little out of character. I should have called the BB's bet, and left it at that.Turn. Who the hell ordered this 3 of hearts? This yahoo just make his straight with a 24? Or did he have something from the beginning? An A maybe? I should have just called; guess I was in an aggressive mood.River. No good can come of this. Check it fool, check it. (But could I win any other way, granted he would be a complete idiot to fold for a single bet on the river after all the money he had already put in.) I bet; I blame that aggressive mood I mentioned earlier.BB flips over 5

- In some alternate universe the 10
fell, and our Hero pulled in a 20+BB pot.Pre-flop. This is a hand I'll mix into my normal list of starters now and then. I don't do it often, but I do like these hands from time to time. I figure I'm going to be aggressive (as usual.) I get raised, and re-raised, and then cap it for good measure.Post-flop. Top two pair. I would hope I'm dealing with an overpair, possibly AKs, but i guess it is possible someone stayed in a cap'd pot with 710 or 57, although thats less likely. I figure worst case scenario is someone has 66, it is much more likely I'm dealing with over cards or a flush draw. I go for it.Turn. Oh crap. Hopefully I'm not playing against that flush draw. I bet, thinking a flush is going to raise me. I just get called down. Maybe somone made a weak flush.River. Someone pour hot wax on me, this sucks. Potential trips, potential flush, potential straight, and I'm sitting there with two pair. Oh well, bet it.MP2 flips over an Ax (think it was a Q, not 100%.) I'm not too surprised, but of course I'm pissed as hell at the river  Wonder if anyone threw away a weak flush?I appreciate everyone's input, and hope sharing these hands was helpful to some; feel free to keep the thread going. Good stuff. Not sure if things are turning around or not, but I did walk away from FTP last night up 8xBB, and I won a heads up NL mini-tourney (I say mini, because there were only four of us.)Only had to edit 5 times so far!
