Hey guys, I posted some hands up last night, and as I said I'm trying to improve my limit game, this is not a project/experiment and Im not posting to teach stuff so Im only posting the problem hands I had throughout the session ( I might post a hand If I thought It was really cool though : ) ) and Im hoping to get some good advice, feel free to disect each hand and tell me what Im doing wrong. For some hands I might be pretty confident that I messed and sure about why I messed up, for these hands you might agree with me or you might find another leak in there somewhere, please let me know either way.. thanks...Im Takemycash9------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I have pkt Q'sPRE-FLOPtakemycash9 bets $2, 3 folds, dante2 calls $1.75 and is all-in, Montana1911 , fjr calls $1.FLOP [board cards 9D,9H,AS ]fjr checks, takemycash9 checks.I figured he wouldn't check an A, but the dude that went all in might. So I check to try to get him to bet so that I can raise and profit from this hand even if the other guy does have an ace.TURN [board cards 9D,9H,AS,6D ]fjr checks, takemycash9 checks.is he slow playing trips or A9? probably not I'll check, hope he raises the river and i can get my two bucks back if I'm losing the pot.RIVER [board cards 9D,9H,AS,6D,AH ]fjr bets $2, takemycash9 bets $4, fjr folds. Here he raises and I think Its a pretty safe reraise, I might even get a call from K high, but I dont, o well I got my two bucks back.SHOWDOWNtakemycash9 shows [ QD,QS ]dante2 mucks cards [ JC,KC ]takemycash9 wins $6.50, takemycash9 wins $6.50.hmm I won the pot, I think I could have raised the flop but im not sure if that wouldve been correct either...anyway this type of hand comes vary rarely, so Id like to know what u guys would do? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------punguu posts blind ($0.50), cmass posts blind ($1).This hand I have nines in 1st MD pos.PRE-FLOPnotmrpink calls $1, 2 folds, takemycash9 bets $2, HAY JUDE calls $2, 5 folds, notmrpink calls $1.FLOP [board cards 6S,5D,6C ]notmrpink checks, takemycash9 bets $1, HAY JUDE folds, notmrpink bets $2, takemycash9 bets $2, notmrpink bets $2, takemycash9 calls $1.I get check raised, he's trying to represent 6's which I doubt he has, so I raise , he caps, now that scares me a bit he might have the A6, dont think he has 5's full cuz he would've only called, I feel like he might have 77 or 88 at this point maybe over cards like KQ KJ.TURN [board cards 6S,5D,6C,KC ]notmrpink checks, takemycash9 checks. Now i dont think he's got the overcards he wouldve bet, (Here is where I think I made the mistake) I check scared that he might reraise Id rather call for one bet than fold the turn) I think it is more likely that he has 77 or 88 and got scared by the king. RIVER [board cards 6S,5D,6C,KC,5S ]notmrpink bets $2, takemycash9 calls $2. Im getting about 8 to 1 to call so I do thinking Im not that big of an underdog to win judging by the way he played it, he either had 77,88,A6, or slight chance he had KQ. SHOWDOWNnotmrpink shows [ 5H,AC ]takemycash9 shows [ 9D,9S ]notmrpink wins $18.75.huh? A5 ?? I guess thats where knowing ur opponent comes into play, I didnt so I lost a bit of money. I think if I raised the turn he would have folded, and now that I studied the hand I realized that no one would cap the flop and check the turn unless they had something marginal (IMO.. I might be wrong on this assumption). This hand is full of leaks so let me have it guys..------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Here is another one (I think I should stop being too aggressive in these games, I find that I always try to steal pots, and Im pretty sure that I dont get away with it enough to make it profitable, I need to stop) anyway say I did try to steel sometimes and this happened what should I have done different (postflop)? I have J9 o.s.ANTES/BLINDSHAY JUDE posts blind ($0.50), scrapiron posts blind ($1)PRE-FLOP6 folds, takemycash9 bets $2, HAY JUDE calls $1.50, scrapiron folds.Head on I think she has something weak, or else she would've re-raised, I had raised on the button a few times already. FLOP [board cards QD,KH,7D ]HAY JUDE checks, takemycash9 bets $1, HAY JUDE calls $1.I bet to try to steal, but I have a gutshot anyway.TURN [board cards QD,KH,7D,6S ]HAY JUDE bets $2, takemycash9 calls $2.I call this with my gutshot ( I have no reason behind this call, just that when I bluff I have a hard time letting the bluff go (Most of the money Ive lost in NL has been because of this)) RIVER [board cards QD,KH,7D,6S,10D ]HAY JUDE bets $2, takemycash9 bets $4, HAY JUDE bets $4, takemycash9 calls $2.I realize a there is a flush possible but somehow I convince myself that she doesn't have it, and I reraise, now she comes over the top and I know im dead, I call anyway..SHOWDOWNHAY JUDE shows [ 8D,KD ]takemycash9 shows [ 9S,JH ]HAY JUDE wins $22.Lost quite a bit, not happy about it but I think I realize my mistake.. If there is anything else you would like to add about this one feel free.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I forgot what I had in this hand I'm pretty sure I had 10's. (thought it would say in showdown but it doesn't so I forgot to write it down)phorbin posts blind ($0.50), takemycash9 posts blind ($1).PRE-FLOP7 folds, captainioo bets $2, phorbin calls $1.50, takemycash9 bets $2, captainioo calls $1, phorbin calls $1.I always three bet with 10's.FLOP [board cards 3D,AS,KD ]phorbin bets $1, takemycash9 bets $2, captainioo folds, phorbin calls $1.I raise just so that if captain folds I could shoot for the free card to the river, I figure he has AJ to cold call preflop and then raise the flop. ( he could have 2 diamonds though)TURN [board cards 3D,AS,KD,JC ]phorbin checks, takemycash9 checks.well I think its 50/50 either way, he might have AJ and be hoping for a check raise he might be drawing. RIVER [board cards 3D,AS,KD,JC,KS ]phorbin bets $2, takemycash9 folds.im getting 7.25 to 1 to make the call, I can only beat a bluff at this point and Im pretty sure he'd check the river with this board if he was drawing, should I be calling these bets? SHOWDOWNphorbin wins $14.50thats all I got for today, I actually ended up about 32.5 x BB ( after a 40xBB downswing I had last night, I gotta work on being more solid to avoid the big swings) I'll try to post more hands up after tomorrow's session, I think this will help me a lot. thanks.

I'm no pro but I'll take a stab.1) I dislike slowplaying here totally. You may very well have both beaten, just take the pot down. You let fjr see two cards for free. Your play only "worked" because he tried a steal on the river. Had he just checked/folded it down you would have given him two cards to beat you with nothing to show for it. This hand just seems like you should be happy taking down a small pot.2) Frankly, I don't think he would have folded the turn bet. Turns out your read on him was accurate, so you should have gone with your instincts and bet the turn. At least give him a chance to fold, although I think he would have called or tried a c/r. Bad luck on the river.3) I don't mind the way you played it early. I fold the turn though. You must think you are way behind here and reduced to what turns out to be a 3-outer. You bet the flop, she calls and then she bets into you on the turn. If she checked again, maybe you can fire again. But to call her bet with so little can't be correct. Raising is even better than calling that.4) I like the way you played the hand although I would probably make the crying call here.
