Hey...I just played a tournament on Party Poker. i really didn;t pay attention to what I signed up for because it was starting in 2 minutes. Well, the tournament was a qualifyer for another tournament. First 7 places got into the next tournament. i came in second. However, the tournement is next Saturday and I will be out in the ocean on a Casino Cruise. Any ideas on what to do?Oh... for braggin purposes only, here is the email I got: Dear TheresaCongratulations on winning a $200K Guaranteed Saturday qualifier. You have been registered to the $200K Guaranteed Saturday tournament to be held on April 16th 2005 22:00 EST.Please keep in mind that there will be no refunds for single entries.Do you know you can go on winning multiple entries to the $200K Guaranteed Saturday tournament? That's right but you must play your first $200K Guaranteed Saturday entry first and any additional entries will be refunded to your PartyPoker.com account.Thank you for your support and please feel free to contact our Customer Care Department if you have any questions or concerns.Sincerely Yours,Lucy JonesCustomer Care ManagerParty Pokerinfo@partypoker.com+1 (800) 852-4719 (Toll Free from US/CAN)+350 50509 (International Charges Apply)

No refunds, huh?Try asking them if you can play another week instead, effectively deferring your prize.

Great job Theresa! Shame about the cruise though, but at least it's a cruise and not jury duty or something.Get a hold of a laptop!
When I go to a fast food restaurant, and my order comes to $6.28, I like to give the cashier $18.71. They look at me and say 'What's this?' and I say 'I'm all in'. They usually fold.

Ok... I should have just called Party Poker which I just did. As a one time courtesy, I was able to unregister and I can register for the following Saturday. So problem is solved.Anyway, it was the easiest tournament I was ever in. I was so surprised with the way people played.

That was cool of them. Make sure to keep us updated. In preparation, you should scroll down to eMarkm's post on this thread at twoplustwoIt's not a bad post on MTT strategy. Good luck on the qualifier.

Somehow, I have a feeling the real tournament will not be so easy. There will only be 7 players from this one.

Thanks all!The cruise is for league. We are having our final banquet and awards ceremony on the boat since we can not do it on land. You can not play poker for money in a public forum in Florida. We are going on a boat that has poker tables and the organizer is reserving tables just for us. That should be cool. Best thing is that we are taking abus, so I don;t have to worry about driving 60 plus miles. I will definately be letting you know how it goes. The 200k tourney... well, I am not holding my breath on this one. I know competition will be tight. Hopefully, I will be focused. I will give the results on that too.
