If I moved to LA, that would be the place to play right? WHat's the room like? What limits do they spread? Is it like a 24 hour room? Also I heard on some other boards that it was a totally different game then Vegas games. I have no clue what that means as I have only ever played online. Does that mean it's full of tough players?ANyone have any thoughts on the commerce, advice on playing there, anything like that?

The Commerce is an awesome place to play poker. Just stay away form the blackjack. They spread low limits to very very high limits. I have never seen a place like this. There is so many poker tables there. If you play 20/40 and higher you will comp your meals for you. The food there is really good.

Or the bike, because the play on live at the bike is just horrendous. Insane the limits these people play. With no clue.

That's pretty sad if they're the best.

the commerce is great. it has everything a poker player could ask for. Your meals will be comped for playing 15-30 or higher. The food is the best, make sure to order the Thai fish, super yummy. Talk to one of the floor men and he will get you a room rate if you decide to visit first. Grease the floormens palms and it helps when situations arise. For sure go to the spa, real nice, comfortable and clean. for 25 bucks you can use all the facilities for the day. The action is fast and furious and I would disagree with the earlier post about the great california players, from my experience it doesn't get any better, ya there's lots of good players but there are also lots of real bad players playing at limits above there skill level, myself included at times. There is usually a pot limit he game that i would recommend staying away from. There are a couple of old timers that really rock in the pot limit dept. wouldn't recommend the comedy club unless your into latino comedy, I just didn't think the guys were that funny but you might. there is everygame imaginable and you will not be dissapointed. Lots of poker rooms in southern cal and I've been to most and spent lots of time at all the bigger rooms and the commerce remains my favorite. The hotel is run by holiday inn and is a seperate entity from the poker part but they work together fairly smoothly. Have fun and I wish i was going, I really love the commerce in case you can't tell from my blog.
