I absolutely pounded the Mustangs last night. Schnieder and Hamrlik with three assists each, a G and A from Jokinen, Semin, goals from Gagne, Kopitar, Pominville. Tonight, the Thieves are in tough. I was stuck in a hotel room with no internet connection so I didn't see the Tkachuk trade in time to switch him out and put Torres in the lineup. It scares me that it could cost me the game.
Last night, both the Killers and Ghosts won, so with very little time there is a lot of ground to make up. Not looking good.

A note to Serge: I realize that you "think" you've been unlucky with injuries, but you need to factor that in when you have an older team. In fact, I'd say that you've been lucky from an injury perspective not to lose guys like Sakic and Kariya for extended time.

Bad luck is related to scheduling mostly. Playing against teams that happen to have big nights on a consistent basis. If not for that, if you look at my players stats and goals against, it's clear that my team has been very unlucky this year.

One more thing Serge: do you REALLY want to bet on the Leafs versus the Flyers in three years? Seriously? The Flyers are doing what the Leafs could have done years ago.

Remaining schedule for contenders for the last playoff spot in the Shack conference:

Cheap Thieves:

Feb 27- vs. Ghosts of Elvis
Mar 1- vs. Blackdraft
Mar 2- vs. Rug Rats
Mar 3- vs. Ghosts of Elvis
Mar 4- vs. Mustangs

Ghosts of Elvis:

Feb 27- vs. Cheap Thieves
Mar 1- vs. Ingmen
Mar 2- vs. Mustangs
Mar 3- vs. Cheap Thieves
Mar 4- vs. Canadian Gothic

Mustangs:

Feb 27- Rug Rats
Mar 1- Ravag
Mar 2- Ghosts of Elvis
Mar 3- Rug Rats
Mar 4- Cheap Thieves

Legend Killers:

Feb 27- Dirty Trix
Mar 1- Dawgs
Mar 2- Red Ravens
Mar 3- Purple Hearts
Mar 4- Shoot Loose

Two games against the Ghosts gives me a chance to make up some serious ground. Obviously down 5 points, both games are of the "must win" variety."

your team, despite being decent now, is all about the future . serge has got no future. he is banking on his non playoff team now, plus +1/2 expensive guys, being good enough to secure a championship within three years, with the big m's in the position they are in that seems very unlikely, when they start to get a little old/ expensive your team will be winning and competing for championships for a good 5 years whereas serge's team will be bottom feeders having missed out on a championship due to bad timing, management (?) and lack of assets.

i have respect for serge for sticking to his guns and believing that his team is good enough to do the job within three years, and defending them so vehemently, but sadly for him i dont think it will happen.

i think Shoot Loose will be the man to beat in future years. his team is awesome now, AND has a great farm. i dont know how he went about it but he's done a great job building his team.

For what it's worth, its not just the old guys who get injured - Gaborik's injury probably cost me my FCHL playoff spot this year and he is only 24 (albeit he's been injury prone but i pray he will get healthy for good from now on!)

Brutal, brutal, brutal! Only 29 seconds left in the Van/Dal game and Modano assists on a goal againt my team. That's going to make it close.

While my team is all about the future, they are heating up in a big way right now and could make noise in the playoffs. The Shack conference will be a three horse race the next six seasons. The Ghosts- Crosby, Thorton, Phaneuf, Radulov, Shoot Loose, and my team. The rest are well behind as far as the upcoming seasons go.

i agree with that no doubt, its just a little too early for your team this year it seems, next season the playoffs are guarenteed (barring injuries). serge's old guard on the other hand, can only decline.

So ridiculous. 30 seconds away from a shut out and a 2 goal lead going into the last two games and Dallas gets two goals, both assisted by his players. I'm up 0.5 now, but I think I'm dead meat. Come on Ryan Malone you BUM!!!

Tony (Shoot Loose) has an excellent farm team, but he will have to use some of them as trade bait to acquire cheaper players as he drafted many as underagers and at $3.00 to start the salaries will add up quickly.

They aren't even my best young d-men. I have astocked farm of great offensive blueliners set to be in the NHL as early as next season: Alex Gologoski, Kris Russell, Ivan Vishnevskiy, etc.

That's the big difference between my farm and his. My farm are first round picks for the most part and should be 2.50 for five years, much like Kopitar's contract will look. Semin was a little "too good" this season.

LOL unreal... I got an assist from O'DONNELL too. I paid 4.75 for Foote and traded Cleary for O'Donnell. Tonight makes all that worth it, lol.
