meservery 0
BBFIDTS Who said it was? How is this a bad beat? All the money went in when OP was behind.OP, you shouldn't post the results, cause it's easy to say fold now that we know the villian flopped a fullhouse. In a cash game I'd call the raise and not re-raise. Would this be a good tournament strategy, or would we be letting the blinds in cheaply too much? I hate AAxx when its not atleast single sooted. With a good sized stack near the bubble against a villian who can break me, I'd prolly play this slow and use my position to just call villian's bets...EDIT: Re-reading the hand I would def. not put the villian on 55xx so I'd go broke 95% of the time here. JacKingOff_suit 0
You have to be careful playing trips because you are either way ahead or way behind. You can always put a bet on the paired board with nothing on your hand, but once you get reaction you should give up. But when you do have the trip on your hand, then depending on your table image you may want to pot it, or bet the max amount that your villain's going to call to get the best out of it. If your villain calls, you could still be way ahead. But if your villain raises, your hand is probably ranging from having a very small edge to having a big disadvantage. Always be careful with the trips.
