I saw the trailer before I knew about the graphic novel aspect and I thought it looked really stupid. Then I found out about Frank Miller's treatment and I think it's going to be OK. Belive it or not, the quotes about "Our arrows will block out the sun" and "That's OK. We'll fight in the shade" were actually true!Frank Miller rocks, even though I'm not a huge comic book fan. I knew those quotes were accurate and the scene in the preview where he kicks the Persian emissary into the well is based on something they did also, though likely not in the same manner. Zack Snyder fulfills the promise he showed in Dawn of the Dead with a vivid, colorful saga about the heroic Spartans that's just as visionary as Sin City and is also more engaging and entertaining.
