bodog is offering a matching $100 bonus for cardplayer readers, the stipulation is that you get 500 points before you can cash out. Here is their rake schedulehttp://www.bodog.com/poker/rake.jspHere is their point schedulehttp://www.bodog.com...oker-points.jspSince I am still dealing with a small bankroll, (basically the $100) I was thinking playing the .25/.50 game will get me the 500 points fastest, with the least amount of risk involved.Anyone else have an idea on this?

I decided to do this bonus, for gits and shiggles, and am still in the process of working it off. Here's what I'm seeing so far:The upside ... they give you the bonus within a day or two of your starting to play, so you actually would have the full $200 to play with at the tables. Software is easy on the eyes and very fast. Play is relatively soft (it's not party poker, but then what is?). There is no time limit to how long you take to work off the bonus. The downside ... you only earn points for raked hands in which you actually contributed to the pot. Just being dealt in and folding doesn't count. If you try and play loose enough to contribute to a lot of pots, you'll probably end up losing a lot of the bonus. If you play solid poker, it'll take you about 7k hands to earn the points necessary to clear the bonus at .25/.50, and they don't do partial payouts. I'm only playing limit HE so I assume this would change if you played NL. Also, depending on your schedule, be aware that you won't find much action during the day at those limits. Early evenings and into the night are the best times to play, but you still won't find more than two or three tables going at .25/.50 limit. All that being said, I actually kinda like the site, so I wouldn't try to talk you out of doing it, I just wish it was busier. But there are definitely many bonuses offered by other sites which would be a lot easier to earn.Hope this helps.
