A friend of mine told it is Federal crime now for US players to deposit money on online poker sites. Is that true?Thanks!

The whole situation gets misinterpreted by a lot of people. It is not illegal to play poker in the U.S. (except in Washington), the laws simply make it harder to deposit.

Thank you for the input.I wouldn't compare depositing money to "music downloading" though.You deposit your money, not somebody elses.As far as "depositing is for suckers" - since I have started playing poker I am up. :club:
