[I'm sorry, the hand history converter doesn't seem to work well with Absolute poker, aside from the pot size, the positions aren't correct, I'm actually SB here. But I don't want to edit everything]

Weird hand, I was pretty lost what to do, especially on the turn. Also, do you cap the flop?. I obviously have very little hope of being ahead on the river, but I didn't want to fold for on BB in this huge pot.

edit: some stats:
"UTG"(actually BB):43,52VP$IP/9.26PFR/0.69AF/108 hands
"CO"(actually UTG): 88.9/8.9/1.32/50 hands -> went on a sick rush btw, showing down lots of crappy hand that hit the board very hard

Weird doesn't even begin to describe this hand. I think I'm more likely to fold to the bizarre 3-bet on the flop than to cap but I probably call and hope sanity returns. I suppose it's possible that CO has something like 4c5c but with a sane player I'd expect this to be a set most of the time.

On the turn I almost certainly fold to the 3-bet.

If you make it to the river you have to call in a 68.43 BB pot smile.gif

OP, can you PM me the full HH for this hand? I want to get to the bottom of these converter issues.

As played, I do cap the flop because our equity is HUGE here with like 14 outs.

Turn sucks but not much you can do, you don't really want to put in a ton of money there, but we're pretty well forced into it.

River, I'm sure you could find a fold, but I call too in such a huge pot.

NM i missed the flush draw for some reason. I still don't think I cap the flop but I think you have to call the turn. River is probably so close it doesn't matter much either way.

Our equity with just the flush draw is pretty much enough to cap the flop...

However, calling sets up the turn a lot better.

I still cap though.

Is there any merit to donking the flop in the hopes that it is raised, giving us a better chance to protect our hand and make CO fold? I guess with the FD we have enough equity that we want to trap, but what if we didn't have the FD? This is something I have trouble with; what to do when the preflop raiser is to our immediate right and we connect but don't have a huge hand (though again, in this case we do have a huge hand, so I guess my point is moot anyways).

Yes.
If we just had Top Pair (Jack), I lead the flop into the PFR.

With Top Pair & Flush Draw, we can check-raise to trap the third player for value.

If we think we have 14 outs, we need to cap the flop.
If the original PFR was the one 3betting, I could put him on an overpair and confidently cap with the knowledge that we probably have 14 clean outs.

But CO's line tells me he has a monster.
I put him on one of three hands:

Set - my guess
Big Jack - less likely, but this is our best case scenario
Nut Flush Draw

I don't think we can put CO on much less.
And all of these hands take away a bunch of our outs.

Due to this, I'm not so sure we have enough outs any more to cap for value.
